Of course we
might can file a noise complaint, which might also bring attention to what brought it on. The 'racetrack' has parts within 100 ft of the our quiet road and 'Blaaat, blaaat' is easily heard by those who have promised to report unwelcomed presence to legal owners who are quite a bit nastier than we are. (also two toddlers in two homes within earshot whose families are upset that the noise interrupts their nap times. no more than that)
I'm not throwing my weight around or using/altering anyone's land, just supporting those who have promised to report unapproved activity to the respective landowners as I would any friend so committed. (flame suit on to face all legal pundits herein)
As I said, along with no frontage I have no personal dog in this fight, but zzvyb6 if you'll PM your address to me I could perhaps send the boys over to ride around your yard until you show up and express your own desires.
I'm not throwing my weight around or using/altering anyone's land, just supporting those who have promised to report unapproved activity to the respective landowners as I would anyone else so committed and true to their word. The trespassers also live in mid-Michigan and to them it means they can do what they d___-well please with impunity.
The plot continues:
Now that they're both home from work I spoke with the two friends/neighbors who are
personally committed to look after the two 20ac plots. I'll call the properties East (w/house) & West (vacant). One caretaker (West's) was pretty PO'd and ready to confront Mr Big-shot about going off on his lady. The other said "No way" as if in disbelief, so I showed him the paths across the line where he had posted signs as a promise to East's owner when the old fella went into a care facility. Both agreed that they would catch heqq if found to have abrogated their promised duties and allowed someone to "tear up the place" (their words).
East's brother had prettied-up the house just recently, and had it surveyed for the listing. We saw no sign of either the survey markers ight at the road or the "no Trespassing" signs that had been replaced this year. "__'s son is a retired cop," he said, "and I don't think the bugger would want to deal with
him if it comes to that."
I doubt the Dad has the scrotes to come back and do or say anything, having dealt already with the two most docile among the six of us he's met so far. He's probably cooled off by now and accepted the reality, but we're on guard for a reappearance and ready to call the landowners as we've promised to do. He would
not want us to call them in, or they the cops, if he knew them like we do and I'd bet he won't go far enough to incite that next step on our part.
Sooooo, my guess is that this deal is pretty much over already, and without additional comments it won't see a 'page 2'. So much for the drama that might have been fun to pass on to you folks here. Further comments are welcome of course, and if there are additional words or actions I'll share & invite y'all to come on down and tell the cops to ignore the property owners once they hear what's been going on. tog
(Anyone else want to
comment on a situation they don't fully understand the details of, or shoot the messenger????)
