I put rebar into a tube form for our garage addition. Went around to several more. Came back to this one 5 minutes later, and this little frog was sitting on the rebar already. Shouldn't be long before our swimming pool cover is a frog singles bar.

Then the other day I was digging out some giant reed grass roots and this toad popped out of the grass to get away.

Reminds me that I had to travel to Hagerstown many times. One of my favorite drives was getting out of there in the evening, heading west on 70-68 up over the hills towards Morgantown, into the sunset with that sky that's black behind you and blue in front of you. The perfect time of evening.

We have a couple of albino squirrels who stop by. We looked at them through our binoculars and seen they have pink eyes. Must be common with gray squirrels, since we have two that visit us.

Great pics. I too have never seen an albino squirrel, although I hunted squirrels religiously when growing up, as an important supplement to our diet. The area I lived in had mostly red squirrels though, so that may have been a factor. I have seen a couple of black and nearly black squirrels; they are pretty striking when you are used to looking at the red one. No pics...; didn't have my Brownie with me then.

I found a few more photos of them. I've tried and tried to catch the two who live near here together, but can't.

Spooked the hen off this nest today in the timber. Gobble, gobble. I'll check on it again in a couple days. She should have 10-12 eggs so might not be done laying.
