Daylight Savings Time---yes or no?

DST is the perfect example of government stupidity in action.

We should be embarrassed as a nation.

There a whole government industry built around making people stupid enough dey don't know enough to know dey dumb. Called Department of Education. Most of dem got degreess hangin on de wall could do a lot more work on a thermometer. Dey got a Union to protect dem too.

Another government industry called OSHA keeps stupid going so dey can breed more stupid.

Never unbderestimate what stupid can accomplish.

I like it just the way it is. Sure, it is bothersome to change the clocks twice a year but we heal up quickly. :2cents:

Our transfer station is open Sundays from 8-4. The previous attendant was a retiree and generally an affable old timer if you could get around him being a Yankees fan.:baseball: One day I pulled in at 3:00, and he started pitching a fit. "Why do you have to wait until the last minute? Blah, blah, blah!" Once he calmed down I asked him what time he had... he felt a little foolish when he realized he'd been an hour ahead all day. Usually I'm the one in the hot seat...

I want to start a voter referendum for changing clocks 4 times a year..........

Too late for this year, better start planning for 2021. The scary part is that you could probably find enough people to get it on next year's ballot... you know how much this state loves a referendum. Write it as a bond issue and it's guaranteed to pass.

I'm with you, don't see why some people make such a big fuss over it. Maybe in the south where the length of daylight doesn't change as much from season to season it seems unnecessary, but here in the north it evens out the day and I find it a help. YMMV

The amusing part about DST to me is that no one, absolutely no one, forces anyone, absolutely anyone to change their clocks. :D

No one has been "physically" forced to wear a mask either.

I think I'll set my clocks 3hr ahead, nothing like extra daylight in the afternoon, changing my iphone time could be a bit harder.........
