I have a 2008 3520. I have had no problems with it. It is coming up on 400hrs. I use the loader and a mmm. The only thing I have done is normal service and I reversed the tires to give it a bit more stability. I have driven several hundred posts with a post driver and my neighbor used it to put in several hundred posts with a post hole auger. He actually wore out one auger digging holes. If I had to change anything I MIGHT have gone with a cab. Other than that I could not be more satisfied. One last thing. The dealer I bought from was very Unprofessional and very untruthful. I never did get any straight answers from him. Needless to say I will never do business with him again. Thankfully there is another dealer close by that I have come to know and they actually want my business and are helpful and knowledgeable about their products. THANK God for honest businessmen.

Hi,
Do you check your front axle oil level often? Have you ever noticed it was low?

Thanks,
Rob

I have an 06 3720 w/300CX loader and 447 backhoe. It is also coming up on 400 hrs.

I had the battery replaced. It failed but did not leak, fortunately.
I had the 3pt lever replaced. It was bent and was rubbing against the fender. How the setup guy missed it when loading up the backhoe is a mystery.
Last year, the tractor would not start. Turned out to be the plug to the panel board had come loose. The latching mechanism was not in place.
Those things were done under warranty, even though it was technically out of the warranty period when they did the work on the panel.

Love the tractor. Minor complaints:
Air filter is a pain to get in and out.
I would prefer a joy stick for the loader, instead of the long arm.
A different location for the fuel fill would be a good improvement on the open station models.
Checking and filling the hydraulic fluid with a backhoe in place is not workable. Even with it off, the hydraulic bracket forces me to use a very long neck funnel.

2005 4120 with 540 hours.

No problems so far. No overheating even mowing high weeds in 95F temperature and high humidity.

2005 3320 with 300X loader and standard bucket - bought with 19 hours and no choice for 300CX - added 3rd svc and mid pto for my MMM, should have added power beyond right then too.

Implements
7 iron 72" MMM, 60" 1260 tiller, 72" woods rake, 72" Frontier blade, 72" JD hydraulic angling snowplow (Thanks again John), JD weight box, JD Cat1 Quick Hitch, 42" JD Pallet forks from a 5103, boom and wand equipped fimco sprayer, TSc carry all with wood deck - useful for sprayer

Currently 340 hours and paid off next month woohoo!

Mods:
Added 12V relay and front and rear ROPS lights on their own switches and a 12V accessory outlet to power a sprayer.
Added a Yellowtop battery to replace leaking JD battery - cleaned up my own radiator
Added the JD front loader mounted hydraulic oil hardlines from a 300CX to my 300X - use for angling my snow plow

Problems:
Battery leaked before cyhanging to the yellowtop
Ripped a guide wheel off the MMM and rewelded that back on.
No problems with loader QH mounting shoes on my 3320's 300X but have those in case any brake on me - there was a tech service bulletin that got me those for free.

Maint:
Have changed mower blades and have a new MMM belt ready as I noticed some cracking
Did a hydraulic and oil change this spring and guess I need to change front axel hydro in the spring

I want that 445 Backhoe with claw - WOW THAT ROCKS!
Also want a MX6 bushog.

This whole thread is a loaf of crap. Nmu is just trying to get all the active JD members to switch over to his forum. I'd bet money that everyone that responded got a PM inviting them to it.

Actually, he was trying to prove that RobD's and mine's axle venting experiment was in vain. But yeah, he did then use us all to get us to his web site.

Hmm...I never got a PM regarding his website. I too would like the URL. It'll never come close to this website, but I'd be interested in looking at it.

07 3720 with 72 mmm and a 300CX I put on myself. 128 total hours, I bought it with 97 hours.

When I got it the throttle block under the dash was loose and made it hard to set the rpms. It took a couple hours to track that down and tighten the right bolts.

The LoadMatch didn't work at lower RPM either. I traced that to the throttle position sensor. I shimmed the pivot to just barely get within spec but a new one would be better. Helps to have 44hp:). I'm surprised no one else mentioned this because I found help here?

The dealer setup the mower in the wrong holes so the deck was close to the tires and therefor set to not lift fully. Fixed that but I still mow with the deck raised fully. I have to be careful in some spots to not high side the deck under the frame.

Tight ROPS pins -figured it wouldn't rattle this way

The screen over the radiators is pathetic. With the intercooler in the way the screen has to be curled up from behind the battery to get it out plus it just flops and lets grass behind it anyway.

A lot of exhaust soot on the loader frame -needs a tip

Nobody mentioned the 3pt arms either, mine are fine but the rental yard 3720 has them all welded up.

Cruise upgrade should be a standard feature.

Alright , some of these aren't really design flaws just things I have an issue with. Its probably too early to find any major developments yet (antifreeze routed through the injector pump anyone) but we have to start watching sometime.
