Drawbar towing.

I see you are showing the tractor as your trailer load pulled up on the cross drawbar and then lifted your rears. I hope the landing wasn't too rough.

I'd say more likely a heavy load on a front end loader picking the rears up.

I made one that uses the B&W companion fifth wheel for in the bed of a truck. Sits on top of the gooseneck ball.

Sold my BX 25 "starter" tractor and upgraded to new L6060 with cat 1 3 pt drawbar hitch supplied by dealer. Tnought I was getting a cat 2 drawbar atrachment. The cat 1 has eleven 3/4 inch holes. I want to attach both 2 inch and 2 5/16 balls for moving wood chipper, splitter, empty flatbed trailer ( approx 3000 lbs with no load ). Tractor rear wheels are loaded. 2 inch ball is available with 3/4 shaft but smallest 2 5/16 ball comes in 1 inch shaft and up. So, can I drill one of the holes up to 1 inch or will I weaken the drawbar significantly? Are there other options, perhaps a way to attach a 2 inch hitch receiver to this drawbar? I have front pallet forks that I could possibly weld a receiver hitch to. Appreciate all thoughts, comments. Thank you.

I would not recommend drill the drawbar. As others have said you can get a trailer mover that has a 2” receiver built into it. I have seen, but not for a while (probably related to my looking or not looking) a bolt on receiver hitch that would mount to the drawbar as an option (poor option unless you have a drawbar lock due to spin effect).
A huge CAUTION on pulling a trailer on a 3PH is the only downforce on most 3PH is tongue weigh. Depending on the trailer design and trailer load this could make for a bit of a wild ride (Rear tires off the ground and thus brakes useless).

Man, am I glad you brought that up. Prolly saved me a mess. I haul a trailer with grapes in 1/2 ton bins on it in harvest season. The way the bins load onto it, you’re guaranteed to have quite a bit of tongue weight. UNLESS the picking crew loads the rear one full first. I tell them to load them evenly, but stuff happens. I’m putting a chain on for sure

If it were mine, I wouldn’t drill it out. The metal is going to get pretty narrow and strength tends to fall off with sorta the cube of the thickness. Not sure about that particular bit of metal, but a lot of weight bearing stuff on tractors is high strength steel. Even if it wasn’t hardened to start with, it’ll often work harden when you try to drill it. I found even a cobalt bit can stall out on some of this stuff unless you anneal it, which is a bad idea in this case

Not sure where you were going to weld to the pallet fork attachment, but I usually try to avoid welding to anything except mild steel due to possible cracking and or annealing issues. A pro could prolly do it

I got a Titan 3pt to 2” receiver hitch and use it for other stuff as well, like attaching a toolbar. Happy with it, just have to remember to chain it down

Not sure how you plan to safely drill out a 3/4" hole to 1", certainly not an easy task & if you're not set up may be better left to a machine shop with their corresponding fee.

For $109 Neatfarms sell a 3 point hitch attachment with 3x7/8" holes and 2" ball. You can purchase other sizes. The finish is not that great but can be redone with a wire brush & can of Rustoleum. The 25" should fit L6060.

I have a 2” receiver on my quick release loader platform. The maneuverability is first rate for the very tight back in job.
