Has anyone had any experience with their clothing? We are trying to come up with a birthday gift for oldest son in law. He has to work in extremely hot areas in the summer and outside in the winter. Are the shirts worth the extra cost?

We have bought several shirts both men's and women's most recently their Armachillo, we have been very happy with their products.

Their stuff is mostly gimmicky in my opinion. I think it used to be high quality, but 95% of it is made overseas nowadays.

Their underwear that is designed for heat is top notch. Best wicking underwear I've ever had and work in 100+ degree heat for 3.5 months of the year. For outerwear columbia PFG and North Face make great hot weather clothing but it is flammable and not very durable. For socks, The military socks that have some type of antimicrobial silver threading are top notch for wicking moisture away.

Love their long tail shirts and no polo polo shirts. T shirts are heavy/ thick and comfortable

Bore head shoes are as advertised.

everything i have gotten from them that was stated as american made has been great. Never really bought stuff from them that wasn't. Their bucknaked boxers are awesome as well as the boxer briefs. Their FOM shirts are very comfy and the heavy duty shirts are almost like wearing a coat. Their firehose pants I think are a bit overrated and very heavy/warm. I tore holes in them about as fast as i would a pair a jeans but likely not as big of a hole. If i had an open account with them, id have a pile of their clothes.

I bought flannel shirts and the fire hose pants and loved em all. Heavy flannel and the pants were very tough and heavy.

I wear their fire hose pants and REALLY like them, both uninsulated and insulated. Mine have held up fine, but they have a life time war., tear them and they get replaced free!

I LOVE all the pockets they have!

I get their catalog and just haven't been able to justify what they charge for their stuff. 90% of the time, I just wear $8 walmart shorts and t shirt that is covered in paint or grease that may be ten to twenty years old. When I moved to Texas and went through my first summer, I realized that underwear was something that caused more problems then it solved. Going commando has proven to be the best way to deal with summer heat.

I have some of the fire hose pants. They're sizing is a little different. I don't know if they are sized big or others are small. Have had good luck with them. They will tear but not as fast as jeans. And I have learned the same things as Eddie about summer heat.

You never buy them at full price eddie, they run deals all the time on their stuff, just have to be ready ot buy it when it comes along.

Sounds like a rich person problem to me....

I have worn their long tail tee's for years. I'm a tall person with short legs and they cover my backside well. As for price try to find "tall" tee's for less. I have the fire hose unlined jacket. I love it. It is my go to town shopping jacket.

I have been buying clothes from Duluth for the last few years after getting tired of brand named shirts falling apart in a year or two. I have Polo shirts that took 10+ years to wear out but mainstream shirts from the local stores are not lasting very long anymore. So far no complaints about Duluth except for the price of their products and lack of Kahki color on some shorts. :D I do wait for sales before buying but the clothes are still expensive. But I am willing to buy expensive if the clothes are worth it. Duluth products are worth it to me.

About 20 years ago I bought boot socks from REI. The socks were heavy and long wearing wool but they started to wear out so I bought some new socks from Duluth. The Duluth socks are much better than the REI socks and not any more expensive.

Ever since JCPenney apparently did away with their St. John's Bay extra tall tees I've refused to buy anything from them and have been hard pressed to find a quality substitute. I called this Duluth outfit and after much back/forth they finally said their tall tees were "3 inches longer" than regular. Uh... ok, so that's tall perhaps, but not "extra tall". Virtually every site that sells tall sizes groups tall & extra tall sizes together which is ridiculous. If there's a store out there that sells real extra tall tees-- I haven't found it. Many searches only come up with discussions of many others in the same boat.

The boxers are amazing. Better than everything else I have used.

Looking forward to trying some fire hose pants sometime.
