electrical/ pressure switch question

   / electrical/ pressure switch question #42
you've probably aready solved this: but here goes anyway: it could be wired like a oven is: one side of the 220V being there all the time, and the pump only runs, when the other leg is applied: then you would have 120V at the breaker box at all times: or like some have said, move your pressure tank closer to the pump: get one of the really small pressure tanks, put the switch on it, and install it close to the pump: OR put in a 120V pump: i have installed several 120V pumps and they last for years and years: a lot of folk will say a 220V pump uses less current, which is true, but if your wire is large enough to handle whatever the current is on a 120V pump, who cares!!!
