It seems to be all about an unscrupulous contractor who didn't build the new factory up to specs and EA could not occupy.

Timing can be important. EA would have had to order and pay for equipment and materials only to be prevented from putting the building to work. EA withheld payment on building because it wasn't done right.

Now they are in court (likely taking years). Hopefully they will be able to resurrect the company.
