This must be it! Funny!Somebody's got to put in the old JD commercial with the guy tilling his side yard with the JD 8750 and cutting his grass with the maximizer combine.![]()
I’m at two tractors over 50HP and often miss my old BX. Never should have sold it. Horrible mower but did 7 million other jobs well, most importantly teaching small people how to use tractors.
That's hilarious! That must be real old....a John Deere combine for a hundred thousand?? HahahahahaThis must be it! Funny!
That's awesome for your grand daughter Maxx! Most of my grandkids have trained on the Max24 we have. Later sent one grandkid to the Catpillar proving grounds for equipment operator training, she loves operating equipment and so far is making a career out of it.
@polarred21 I would choose this red one you posted.

I came to the same conclusion, neighbor has a Massey GC (2410 I believe) and it is better than my Mahindra Max as far as fit and finnish. That's awesome for your grand daughter Maxx!
And if I were to buy a SCUT, which was originally what I was going to buy that Massey GC would be the one.
Even though I came to really like Kubota's now, I think Massey makes the best SCUT on the market.
Doesn't have all the bells and whistles and marketing gadgets some of the others have, but it has some of the most powerful hydraulics out of all of them, and it's reliable as a stone.
1. Park in middle of yard.I think he uses the Challenger for residential lawns, don't be ridiculous
Edit: wait that's @Hay Dude that mows residential lawns with his Challenger.
1. Park in middle of yard.
2. Engage PTO
3. Turn off PTO
Lawn done, no movement necessary.
I used to own a 0.2 acre lot holding a house, carriage barn, and driveway. When I was in the process of selling it, I got rid of the walk-behind mower, and then realized it needed one more mowing before settlement. I ended up hauling my 60" zero turn from home over there, and mowing the back yard just over one pass down and back. Front yard was done in literally one pass.
Got some funny looks from the neighbors, but it was the quickest way to get the job done.
I get it too, kept feeding the chicks thier feed while driving by on the tractor. Man would they run up and get close, the crazy girls are back to laying one egg a day now.GC gets the chicks too, I'm fighting off these women I tell ya. They come runnin just as fast as they can, coz every girl crazy bout a GC man.
Lucky you, my ducks ain't laying, they just playing.I get it too, kept feeding the chicks thier feed while driving by on the tractor. Man would they run up and get close, the crazy girls are back to laying one egg a day now.![]()
Had time to kill 2 weeks ago while waiting on a truck repair and drove a loaner around just asking prices. No haggling just asking. Not sure if these were 2022 or 2023, no accessories:
- Kubota BX23S - $24,500 @ 0% for 60 months; $450 cash discount
- MF GC1723EB - $23,000 @ 0% for 60 months; $500 cash discount
- NH Workmaster 25S - $23,500 @ 0 for 36 months; $1500 cash discount
- Mahindra Emax 20S - $21,341 @ 1.49% @ 60 months; $800 cash discount
LOL - I checked out one - the Kubota BX25 - very carefully at a Fall fair. Sat on it and everything.i checked them all out, chose the Orange Kubota
Not mine! My BX25 backhoe is tough as nails. And the guy at bxpanded.com told me that the FEL tooth bar that I bought from him WAS made for “really violet“ construction like work. He was right!Having operated the SCUD tractors, they do have a place for many; but I for one would not spend the latest asking price for one. If I lived in the city I would rent as opposed to buying as the use can't be much on a city lot. Also, I see more used 23's with backhoe attachment than any other used SCUT, all for sale too. My Kubota salesman says they break easily.
In November of 2013 I bought my B2620 with loader, 60 inch mm mower, clamp on forks, quick hitch, rear snow blower with hydraulic chute, a Land Price 60"box blade and a Land Pride hydraulic angle blade all new from dealer for $25,000 Canadian with our 13%tax. LOLWhat's shocking about those numbers is that those are subcompact tractors. 2 years ago those were the prices on compact tractors.
Ouch. They need to throw a lot more money on the hood to move those.
