I think that I am definitely going to make the job look awfully taxing and difficult, I don't want the wife to kick me out of the seat. I have to make sure that it doesn't look like fun at all.

I found it interesting about the "lazy" engine. Unless I am running something on the PTO or am in a hurry and want faster loader motion, I almost never rev the engine past a medium idle and it has plenty of power for eveything I have done- really happy with my GC with 112 hours on it. Have thought about a BH for it but not enough projects on my lot to warrant it at this time.

Finally, probably one of my BIGGEST deciding factors was the dealer that I went to. It was just a "Mom and Pop" dealer but they had been in business at that location since 1958. I only counted four employees (two owners, parts guy and mechanic/serviceman). I like to support the small businessman (since I'm one myself :) ). The owner was VERY knowledgable about this particular tractor and didn't mind spending as much time with me as I wanted to help me decide. He had his mechanic come out and show me some of the operation of it and also answer any questions that I might have. They are about 40 miles from me but I think it'll be worthwhile to continue to do business with them. :) :D

Same for me! Most of the tractor dealers around here are like car dealerships, pretty showroom and slickdressed salesmen. The place where I bought my 1433v is family operated and is definitely NOT pretty and slick. However, they are just a good bunch of down home folks that make you feel at home. I got a better trade in with them on my Kubota by $1,000, they did not even see my tractor when we made the deal, he trusted my word. When I have called with questions they knew the answer without hesitation. I just wish they were not 50 miles away, I would go hang out and look at tractors....maybe it is a good thing!

Just got the 2310 this afternoon and had a little time to play with it. What hard work (that's what I tell the wife). I dug a hole just for the heck of it, then I filled it in. Fixed a couple of pot holes. Ran the mower. Mostly ran in mid RPMs and seems to have plenty of power even at the lower RPMs.

Oh yeah here's the new baby (others have nicknamed here the "little red MF'er).

Hello, 61flattop. I'm not crazy about the swivel seat either, but gotten use to it. My wife uses it more than I do. She does small septic repairs and some landscaping. Have fun with your new tractor. plowking

Archery....... Congradts on your new "birthng" you have there. Good looking lakeside side shot too...... If I had to guess I wopuld bet that you have some shark size bluegill in there that really like hitting on bumble bee plugs on the end of you 3-4 weight flyrod........:D After getting two days of rain, and putting the backyard yard on grade along with putting in drainage tile, haulingh the leaf sucker around..... I finally had to give it a bath with the pressure washer.:D

We actually do have some voracious bluegill in there. I am no good at all with a flyrod yet. I never had a place to practice with out everybody else staring and pointing. Now I do and I plan to get a lot better with the long stick. Been thinking of going with some little grasshopper poppers later in the year. No bees flying around here just yet. I think my best lure is going to be a piece of bread on a hook, that may be due to the loaves of bread the fish have been fed in the past. Got a couple of bass of medium size, haven't seen any fish with whiskers yet.

Decided to use the tractor for another use today. Just looking for things to do with it.

The way I first sold it to the wife ( After already owning it ) was actually putting her in the seat and she moved some broken concrete all on her own. It was downhill after that. We even had some storms come in the other night and my little tractor was out in the open. Well she got on... started it up drove it around back, unhooked the boxblade, dropped the ROPS and parked it in the outbarn all on her own with no instruction and never having done it before...I built a 12x12 outbarn 2years ago.... then everything would barley fit (pushmower, craftsman garden tractor, cub cadet rear tine tiller, chipper shredder, snowblower, aerator, seeder, chainsaws, ect..... ) Now....I need to build a bigger barn because I dont want this stuff in the garage :)

Just picled up the boxblade today, Bushhog 48". Haven't got a chance to hook it up yet. Justified it by saying that we will have a nice driveway without the potholes. Well, she doesn;t know that I worked it into the origianl deal and I was getting it all the time. New pics to follow.

Some pics of the box blade. I almost got the tractor stuck in the lawn, that's why so muddy. Just went down to feed the deer and other critters and on the way back up, mud city. 4WD and locking diff are a great thing.

Here are the pics of the driveway that I just smoothed out. That boxblade did a fantastic job. I will have to go back and smooth some more later on, but no more potholes for me.

Archerynut,

Did you have to reverse the pins on the box blade to fit the three point? That's what I dealer I talked with here told me is why I'm wondering.

Reverse the pins? I have a 48" Land Pride and have not run into any issues.??

   / GC2310 review #36
No, the pins on the boxblade face inward and I haven't had any issues hooking it up to the 3PH. I can see how if the pins were outward it may be easier, but no issue hooking up and unhooking it.

I was looking at a 2310 TLB at our county fair last summer and asked the dealer if it would handle standard cat I implements. He stated you have have to reverse the pins. I guessing he meant if they faced outward.

I could see the issue because on the subcompacts the 3PH arms cannot spread as wide as CUT's 3PH arms. So if you want to some regular cat 1 implements you may need to switch the pins. The other side to that story is whether or not the tractor can handle the implement. I think all of the SCUTs have the power to handle the implements, but they may not just have enough weight (to counterbalance) and lift (height) to handle those implements.

I have used a King Kutter 60" tiller with my GC2300 even though the spec'd pto horsepower is 25-40 and it is listed under standard implements. I was however told that it would not work on a BX23 because the arms wouldn't open wide enough.

I also threw a couple 12" blocks in the FEL for ballast.

The GC2310 TLB was priced about 14,700 or so.
Wow, I definitly bought the wrong color tractor. I paid 2000 more for the JD. Wish I would have done more research.
