If you really look into it the Keystone pipeline was a big hoax, they never were going to build it in the wrought submitted. The Democrats should demand the build it south of the boarder as far as posible and then listen to the North Dakota group whine. You do remember the oil they have their.
The BS about Obama supporting Brazil he did guarantees so the brazilians would buy American equipment.
remember the outrage about the underwear bomber, being tried in civilian court and how he would walk. that Chaney dummy was all over the place pedalling her crap. well he was sentenced to life, did Fox even mention it.
The right is great at ranting about a bunch of BS, but never admit to the mistake when they are proven wrong.
What we need is a rant of the day thread and then when it is proven to be BS we could just mark it off. and if anyone tried reposting the same line of BS they would be blocked.

I honestly gave a shot at trying to read this rambling but I do not know what language this person is typing in

No Frank would use at the very least proper punctuation, and grammer.
You used neither
But you may want to take your own (highlighted) advise

Why is this a problem?

Are you just against allowing the oil industry to write off tax breaks and incentives? Or does this apply to all business? What about each of us? Should we stop the tax break on home owners that write off the interest paid on their home loans?

I speak of subsidies, not tax breaks. Theres a difference:
If people don't have the money up front, then a subsidie is the best action, since they can't be expected to pay the money up front.
I believe Tax deductions is only what you would have paid had you made a profit.

Reguardless there is a difference, and I believe big oil have broken record profits in the last year, so why are they subsidised?

Where does the oil companis fit in overall in industry for tax breaks? From what I've heard, they are about in the middle of the range. Nothing like GE who doesn't pay taxes in the US due to tax breaks. Does that mean GE is worse then the oil companies? And they get billions of tax payer dollers to pay for their outdated, worthless windmills that don't do anything on top of all those tax breaks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, we not speaking tax breaks. You can isolate GE, but be sure to make it sound like all they build are wind mills though. I have to admit though eddie, I expected more from you.

$4 billion is the number that is used by both sides. To dismiss it because it's not the number you want to use and cannot support because it comes from the Right doesn't really accomplish anything. Provide a link that shows the $40 billlion a year in tax breaks and we can talk about why that is too much and shouldn't be there. Because I agree, that would be too much.

I believe thats a fair number as I believe 10 billion a year in subsidies covers a broad area which includes the whole US energy sector. Once again though, its different than a tax break.

But when an industry provides more then they receive in tax breaks in the form of taxes paid to the goverenment, then I think those insentives are a good thing. The difference between the oil industry is that they pay taxes, provide jobs, provide energy and feed our economy. Solar, wind, ethynal and electric cars do the opposite. They cost tax payers money, do not add anything to the economy and because they get free money without providing something that actually works, there is no reason for them to make their products better.

I have to dissagree with ya here, Solar and wind power must still be managed to the grid, there are plenty of jobs in the distrubution sector, not to mention, that power is still payed for by consumers, putting money into the enocomy.
I agree with you on ethanoyl is the biggest waste of energy, and money.I believe it has always been a big failure and cuss it everytime I reach for my 2 strokes.

I have no trouble with your cause, but I unlike you, I believe there could be other options in energy if given the chance, sure it takes money, but as computer technolgy has changed, so will our energy sources.
IMO we can have both, but unfortuately, big oil feels threatened, so we have people like yourself adamately crying fowl at the drop of a hat. Fortuately, america was not built on nay sayers.
One thing big oil fails to realized, is the more they gouge us on the prices, the more likely they are to fail in the long run as more and more people are ready to look for alternate sources of energy.
I look forward to 10.00 a gallon to tell ya the truth.

I had to add that in there, based on most of the other comments I have read here.

I have no excuse for my spelling though, it has gotten worse as I have grown older, combined with no formal typing classes, it makes it difficult to say the least.
I get my balls busted on it all the time at other forums, by folks mostly just trying to show that may be a bit brighter, however most of them typically offer no real insite or constructive opinions, other than..."You can't spell. Sorry about it.

One joke Frank Luntz likes to tell is about his "Run, Obama, Run" bumper sticker. It's on his front bumper.

The oil company's do not get a subsidy's, Unless its for Brazil and George Soros. The US did not build oil rigs for Brazil, they were just moved from the gulf. US jobs lost.

Oil company's pay almost the same tax's and have almost the same deductions / credits as most other corporations. On 1 thing they actually get a smaller tax credit. Check real Gov web sites on tax codes & energy. Obama & left wing loons do not know what they are talking about.

"Record Profits" Profits in $$ is not the whole or real story. % Of sales and $ invested gives a better picture. Not sure but 3 or 4% after taxes is pretty close. The only reason for any corporation to exist is to make money, if they don't they are going out of business.

Where would you and everyone else be if all the oil company's went out of business??

If you really think $10 a gallon fuel would be good, time to rethink. No matter what you buy, the price of fuel affects the cost. That covers food, could you afford to eat if the price of food was doubled?? Poor people would not be able to buy food or drive a car. Even someone making 60K a year would hurt. Social Security folks would really hurt, since fuel & food are not counted as part of inflation.

I am no lover of oil company's or other corporations. Was royally Screwed by ARCO many years ago. Corporations do not actually pay taxes, everyone that buys something pays the tax. Raising their tax rate just costs the customers more money.

BE Careful What You Wish For.

Obama has put forward a proposal to have a corporate tax of 28% with the elimination of most every subsidy, It will be interesting whether there is any progress on it or will it just wait, and die.

With offshore tax rates at 10% to 15% it's pretty easy to see what happens or has already happened.
