A much cooler 78F and generally overcast @ 14:45, calling for a high of 80F with a chance of a stray thunderstorm, possibly severe.
Thunderstorms came through earlier while I was sleeping, dropped 0.24" according to the LWS. Yesterday's high temp was 93.4F according to the same station.
I initially spent some time yesterday making up a few more cages with what was left of the 2' tall welded wire fencing.
Then I started putting the Bush Beefsteak tomato plants in the ground. Got 11 of those planted, watered, and caged, 1 teaspoon of bone meal and blood meal per plant.
Woman sprayed them (and the Sunny Boys) with neem oil solution:
Still a few left to do. They called for a minimum 2' spacing, I skipped every other hole in a row which had 18" spacing, putting them 3' apart ... figured we might plant beets in the holes that were skipped.
Woman found some frozen sauce in the freezer so She made spaghetti with garlic toast for dinner, along with a tossed salad. Was good, I was stuffed.
After dinner I potted up another 8 Green Envy tomato plants.
She's currently over visiting relatives.
Insect netting and landscape staple order from Amazon is now showing "delayed" ...
May see about getting a few more plants in the ground if storms hold off and I can find more staples for the cages.
Otherwise get cleaned up and maybe see about a haircut ... which is way overdue.
Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ...
