Oops, sorry if some think of guinea fowl as pets . We see them as an alternative to chicken - most often in more expensive restaurants.
The ewes were sorted this afternoon, with only those fit for breeding retained. The rest have been moved on to another farm for a short period before going to market. I am used to ewes and lambs going off to market, however I was a little sad to say goodbye to "Panda" (we don't usually give them names). She has been a bit of a character over the years. Now with no teeth and a fast declining body, it would not be right for her to face another winter.
