Help me decide - X595 vs. X728

Don't do what I did and end up trading unless you have money to burn. I traded from a LX255 to 325 and finally to the X585 54". Great machine. Then I added 3 pt/pto and a johnny bucket. Really nice but it seemed I wanted more so I sold the Johnny bucket and got the X's front end loader-dissapointed so traded the whole thing for a 2210/fel and kept the 54" mmm. Fantastic machine and does everything I want it to but in the end spent lots of money. Should have took JDFANATIC advice and just bought the 2210 the first time.
I was hesitant about the diesel but love it. Once in a while I smell the exhaust but it doesn't bother me.
The loader is one of the best things to own. I use it for all kinds of things. The only thing I use the wheelbarrow for is mixing cement.
It is not that much bigger than the X series so worry about being too big. Sometimes I think about selling and having a zero turn mower but then wonder how I would get any work done. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Don't buy an x series I owned a 595 with the 62" deck. Very thirsty and not a very good cut. Plus you do not get a lot for your money. It also over heated all of the time. I mowed five acres and some of it hillside. I now have a case dx33 with the sixty inch deck and it cuts look like a zero turn very nice. I could have gone with a larger deere but liked the layout of this tractor.

There was a nice review of the x585 in Popular Mechanics. The x585 is basically the same tractor as the x728. You can read the review here --> PM Long-Term Test: John Deere X585 Garden Tractor

I have a x585 with a 62" MMM and a 54" front blade. works real nice for mowing and pushing snow, but when I had the 10 yards of topsoil delivered, I was wishing I got the 2210/2305 with the fel I was looking at.
