How do you get rid of Moles?

I have seen first hand what a bored Jack Russel can do to a Sofa couch while your at work. It looked like a dragnet looking for hidden drugs. :laughing:

I have never had one of our JRTs destroy a piece of furniture, or anything else for that matter. Guess we have a good bloodline?

As for why not using a mole trap, that's just what I am thinking too.

I read these would work and already had some. I have ordered some mole traps, they haven't arrived yet. BTW I took the peanut butter off. As soon as I did that they hit the trap. Guess they don't like Jiffy brand.

The poison bait pellets have proved the most effective. Locate and clear the burrow with a long handled large spoon duct taped to a 12" extension dowel. Once the tunnel/opening is clear; drop a tablespoon of bait in the bottom. Cover opening with leaves, grass, dirt, etc.

Golpher tunnels point to the inside of the Crescent mound http://http://wdfw.wa.gov/living/gophers.html mole are straight down. Voles often leave openings unblocked.

Traps also work but are 10x the effort. Might be required if you have a small yard with a dog in it.
