How Do You Keep A Draw Bar From Spinning?

This is my homemade multiple use draw bar, receiver hitch, short skidding boom pole, ballast weight bracket, middle buster, sub soil, yet to be invented tool tow bar...

Older thread about the same question the OP had. They also talk about the danger that the 3PH has no down pressure. The trailer tongue can lift the hitch arms when backing up etc.

That is why I suggested a trailer mover that has a chain to keep the 3PH from floating.

That would do fine as far as keeping the drawbar from rotating but I am not sure how it would do as a receiver hitch. I prefer a solid square tube.

I think it would be adequate for moving most empty trailer's or some light loads.

I have to agree with the chain to the draw bar.even if its slightly slack. Its easy to have the hitch raise upward..

This is how it was done on the old Ferguson tractors. The old farm trailer my dad towed around with one of these was simply a clevis type hitch. One tongue of the clevis went above the drawbar and the other tongue was below the drawbar. The trailer was attached with a pin that passed through the trailer clevis and the drawbar. You didn't need to stop the drawbar from spinning with this type of arrangement.
