I need to build a new stand for my sand bed before I start anything. I do have lettuce and spinach started in a box out in my greenhouse, but that isn't heated and the nights still get pretty cold. (We got a coating of snow last night.) Even in the greenhouse, soil temp in the flat dropped from 62 to 40 yesterday.

I always plant Maine Taters (I get them direct from your state every year) and the cabbage and carrots in straw bales this year. I have a greenhouse as well but it's heated. All the 'greens' we eat come from there, all winter.

I'm heading in that direction. Actually, by next winter I hope to have an 8x12' greenhouse attached to the southerly wall of my house. Right now I just have my father's last hoop house which he gave me after closing the business. Right now it's a storage building more than a greenhouse though.

It's not NYC. It's California. My kid and her fiancé have had contact with someone that was in that area of California back then, and now that person and his fiancé have both been confirmed with the virus. And I've had contact with my kid and her fiancé in that timeframe. So yeah, it's effecting me personally, and I would have liked a link, not a lecture.

I thought the point of the article was this person had CV19 well before anyone thought CV19 was a big issue. As of January 21, Fauci was saying, "This is not a major threat threat to the people in the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about." Condolences to those who are suffering in one way or another.

I consider myself fortunate. Live rural so am automatically secluded. My work... I cover 10 counties in TN so drive 1,500 / 2,000 miles per month going to various places every day. That was put to a halt by the company and now we're having these meetings virtually over the computer.

Company made a declaration a week or two ago that absolutely nobody will be laid off because of this virus. We're all working from our homes, talking to others who are in their homes..... the State pays the company and the State isn't going to fire us to bring someone else in so we have some inherent security.

Been home for a month now....primarily, I do NOT like it but understand it has to happen. I've been treating it sort of a quasi work/vacation since I can't work (reach people) at the speed I could while we were in person...

Grass is manicured, if the weather would warm up just a tinge, I'd go outside to fix something I need to deal with on the tractor and backhoe (two fixes). But... "I'm at work" so sit in my basement office doing some work.....but when it warms up just a bit more, I'll go outside.

Sorry if you took my comment that way, it wasn't my intent. Its simply curiosity. I naturally dig down into sources to learn more. I agree this thread isn't a place to challenge someone or bring an attitude.

My question was intended only as curiosity to learn more about what the autopsy of that early case implies, how it changes our understanding of the situation. Sorry if it came across to you as attitude.
