I've used a bottle jack as well...I had an old PT 6" x 6" lying around and used it to spread out the force and keep it off the bucket. Used a chainsaw to cut a couple of vertical slits in the wood that would correspond to the side wings of the bucket. Put it in place, chained it down tightly and placed the jack between the cutting edge and the 6" x 6"...took my time and several tries at it, but it worked great and didn't tear anything up.I am liking that bottle jack idea. I have not done any torching and cutting yet, so I can still try that first. Thanks guys!
