yep. bout 20% faster. But since the TA slows it down ~35%, hooking up can still be done in a slower gear than a tractor with normal tires and no TA:thumbsup:

And still a heck of a lot better than the tall reverse of the 8n

Now a progress update.

Put the final coat of paint on the tires this morning, so will try to get them mounted up this evening.

Spent most of this morning ordering more odds and ends. I went ahead and got the tie-rod ends from all-state-ag-parts. They are listed as fitting a 300u and assured me they would take them back no questions if they didnt fit. I tried calling ytmag this morning, but was on hold for 15 minutes and never spoke to anyone......monday morning, I am sure they are really busy.

Ordered some gauges and a tach that this morning as well. Thats the main hold up at the moment. I cant put the gas tank back on and do wiring until I get them.

I also ordered 8 new gas tank bushings. Kinda. Only place I could find them wanted $6 each. And all they are is a 1-1/2" diameter 1/4" thick rubber washer with a 1/2" hole in the middle:confused2:
So I found a guy on ebay with just that....rubber washers. Lot of 10 delivered for $6:thumbsup:

May try to get around to working on that TA cover today.....

I had bigger tires on my 300U, it makes it look good, but also rides better, and better traction. The road gear on that tractor is about 20 mph, so you might get a little more speed, it is ok on a paved road, not so much on rough ground. I pulled a lot of haywagons with mine, it did it a lot better than my bota does.

Not gonna get the tires mounted tonight. Paint is still to soft to handle. The white seems to be taking longer to dry than the red. Could be because I had to spray it a bit heavier to get good coverage?? Or something different in the paint? I dont know. But will see tomorrow. Would like to get them on so I can work on the fenders

I did get the TA cover done though.

I used a peice of 5" OD x 1/8" thick pipe. Sliced what I needed, and flattened a bit
