What exactly are you referring to as a 12 volt power supply?
I checked into :
12 volt batteries
Transformers
Battery packs
Battery chargers
Voltage reducers.
Is there some item I didn't include here? If so kindly tell me what it is and where I can get it.

LBROWN yes that was what I wanted to do find a cheap transformer that would work.
The battery seems to be the best for me and I have a small float charger on it to keep it up.
I suspect a transformer that would have the right amperage and duty cycle will cost more that the charger route.

Essentially he HAS a 12 V power supply. It just comes in batter charger form, so it may put out 14V or so...

You plug it into a 110V AC outlet, it goes to a transformer, which puts out 12V AC (or thereabouts). The it goes through a rectifier circuit to change the AC into DC (or a reasonable approximation thereof). Then it goes to jaws for clamping onto battery terminals instead of some other kind of connector for, say hooking up to motor terminals.

Nice thing about an actual power supply is more control over voltage level and amperage, better power conditioning and rectification, depending on how fancy you get. Google 12Vdc power supplies and poke around some. But the battery charger is in essence the same thing, albeit with slightly higher voltage to overcome the battery's voltage level.

I think Radio Shack had something like this but I couldn't see paying $89 dollars for it to use on a pump that only cost me $69.
Besides i already had the battery charger.

Diesel fuel way, way out sells home heating oil

How can the same fuel out sell itself?
Now if the statement read more fuel is used by on road and of road vehicles than is used for heating homes the statement would make sense.

A friend of mine uses $5000/month of off road diesel to run his dozers and other equipment and he is not even a large contractor. Someone here also stated that one farmer was using $1200 of diesel everyday during the harvest season. *

I would guess that there is a lot of off road diesel being consumed every day.

I live in NW penna, I was buying off road diesel for my tractor and decided to try #2 heating oil. They sent me to the same pump, same thing just no tax.
