kioti linked pedal

What I do when doing a lot of loader work with the linked pedals I bump the hand throttle up to around 1900 which is close to matching the forward pedal when you use reverse.

Thanks Nick! That's most likely more help than we would get from the dealer. Do you know what your max RPM's is when using the linked pedals in reverse? My son said his maxes out at 2550 in forward with the linked pedals and using the hand throttle.

I checked tonight, With the hand throttle at idle I get 2600rpm with the forward pedal, and 1800 with reverse.

Thanks Nick.

To Mike Gibson's point, the hand throttle on the 2610 has little effect on the linked pedal since it's completely mechanical. BUT, I think you could adjust the linked setup to operate at higher than idle RPM's. In other words, adjust the black sliding piece to so that it engages at a higher RPM, giving you full travel from the higher RPM setting on up. Downside would be, it would hit the throttle linkage if you tried to engage the linked throttle pedal when the tractor was idling.

On my 3510 the hand throttle is independent so you can set it wherever you want even when pedals are linked. On mine setting it @1900 RPM makes it close to the same speed in reverse as going forward. I don't want it as fast in reverse as all my problems seem to come when I back into something. :) It's close enough it doesn't bother me like it does without having the throttle advanced.

Just picked up my ck3510. I needed it right away so I didn't want to wait on the dealer to add the link pedal. I was wondering if anyone has a party number for the kit and any other installation tips? Thanks!

I have enjoyed my first 60 hours on my 3510se. Of those I have used the linked pedal maybe 2-3 hours tops.

Tilling - no, need full PTO rpm
Bush hogging - no, need full PTO rpm
Loader work - no, need power for hydraulics
Travel - a little, but mostly higher speeds so why not just set at 1800-2200 and go?

Thanks for the info, I'll use it for awhile before I decide if it's worth it.

My 3510se has it. I put 80 hours on the tractor this summer. I see no need for the linked pedal. I used it maybe 2x and couldn’t find the use for it. Cruise control is a different matter. Use it all the time mowing pastures.

I have the bobcat twin of the ck2610, dealer installed the linked pedal kit but when I flip the lever up it just flops back down, so it won't stay engaged. They came out to look at it again and don't have a clue. Any ideas what they did wrong?

alittle off subject sorry but I bent my throttle linkage ears some , the foward and reverse. I straightened them out best I could from under the tractor, it just seems that I don't have full travel on the linkage now resulting in not having full power, if that makes sense? Thanks 2012 dk40hst

maybe another name for auto throttle. could not find hardly any info. on it anyone have it on there tractor.

any pictures as to how it is installed & works. ?? can it be gotten as a aftermarket add on. i am referring to the ck models.
any info. would be great, thanks....

Son in law just got a 40-hp Kioti with this. The forward pedal works just like a car accelerator. Harder you push, faster engine turns, and the faster you go.

I like it and so does he.

my linked pedal is the brakes. There are brake pedals tied together with a link that can be disconnected so they can be operated separately.

if it is an HST tractor (I think that's all Kioti makes) the engine does not rev more the hydrauluc pump just puts out more fluid. the engine revs are controlled by the manual hand operated throttle.

I may be missing something here, but isn't that the whole point of adding the linked pedal option? I can see the linked pedal being very handy, for instance, when box blading a surface to get it level. Moving back and forth with a lower hand throttle setting can be very time consuming as hydrostat reverse is normally much slower.

the term "linked pedal" was unfamiliar to me. But Now I know what the op was speaking about. Kioti calls it "Cruise Control." Cruise control is a rather oblique term for it. The cruise control most folks immediately think of would likely be that which is on an automobile, and it is nothing like the linking of the accelerator pedal to the throttle. But marketing needed a word.
Here's a video discussing it

I don't think that Kioti is calling "linked pedal" "cruise control". The video makes clear the difference.

Couple thoughts on linked pedal: Does the linked pedal mode cause increased resistance on the hydro pedal? Since the hydrostat pedal becomes mechanically linked to the throttle lever on some tractors that would add a lot of resistance. Perhaps the Kioti throttle lever is designed with very little resistance to accommodate the linked pedal option?
Seems like there would be a market for a universal type add-on linked throttle kit for other tractor brands and models. Would probably have to be electronic, however, and at least somewhat similar to after-market cruise control kits for the automotive industry.

Something that I've noticed on TBN lately is that as soon as someone mentions controlling something electronically, everyone seems to clam up. Not sure why that is.
