I am not one to even bring up resale. 20 years ago, when JD and kubota were the large CUT and SCUT players, maybe. But anymore, kioti, mahindra, LS, etc are all top notch brands. And with the internet, and research being right at ones fingertips, quickly weeds out bad brands/models.
Perhaps.
But I think there is alot of misconception in this thread.
First, I have no idea what a NX5510hst open station cost in comparison to a MX. Unless kioti has something on their website I am overlooking.
Second, you are assuming that the 40k for the new mx5100 that the op told you was accurate. Well, fact-checking.....I think that is either total BS, or we are missing something. Like was that price quoted with a bunch of attachments or a backhoe? The MX5100 for starters, is not a new model. But the replacement, the MX5200, HST, equipped with a loader and HD roundback bucket, only lists a MSRP of $34k and change on build-my-kubota. So its probably a $30k tractor.
What can one buy a NX5510 HST open station with loader for? Tractorhouse would seem to indicate they are $36-37k with a cab? Take the cab off you think they are still gonna be 5-10k less than an MX? That would have to put them in the $20-$25k range, and Im just not seeing it.
As to comparisons....yea, the MX is not a luxury model. One of the reasons in fact that I like it. I like the features like telescoping links and stabilizers, but not fond of lots of electronics. But to each their own. The NX is about 400-500# more tractor and does have a stronger 3PH. But the MX 3PH can lift 2400#. 99.9% of NX owners would probably never exceed that. As to the loader, I'd call it a wash. The NX certainly dont have a "stronger" loader.
The Price is for a mx5100 with 4 and 1 bucket and slasher without slasher its 39000... this is australian prices not bs
