Tractor
kubota l4740
Hi there newbie looking at a 2011 kubota l4740 cab tractor about 200 hrs guy asking 28000 I was thinking this was not bad with bucket no warranty what do you guys think, I like this tractor a lot last of the tier 3 I understand this tractor is a beast and with the goodies should last a good long while. I plan to get a backhoe later but for now either a plow blade or a snowblower I'm getting old and um sick of blowing snow on my mahindra 3616 open tractor what do you guys think?

Open station?,What tires?Kubota loader(854 would be the number). Two hundred hours is nothing really but check to see if he had the services done .If the filters are white and not gray the filters have been changed.Does it have the SSQA(skid steer quick attach) not necessary but real handy and worth about $400.

The filters are white guy says he serviced it at kubota dealer and has paperwork to back it up. I was thinking it's been used on a farm and about 50 hrs, a year for a three year old tractor is nothing

The filters are white tires are r4 and has the ssqa loader this is a cab tractor and I believe the way it sits was close to 40 thousand new. Can anyone confirm the price?

That tractor is a good buy at $28,000.Can't help with the flood part.It sure was close to $40,000 new.

I wouldn't call an L series a beast but is one good tractor for sure , and I know what you mean about an open station in the winter blowing snow as we get older . The $ 28000 sounds like a good price and the service records are a plus for sure . Make sure pto, heat , air cab functions etc. and hyd. are all operating properly .It would be nice to know why they are selling it as 200 hrs is nothing . I would just ask about the flood thing if that is a concern . You could even draw up a paper with him signing and stating it has not been in a flood for future use if ever needed.

Never ever go buy just hours on a tractor. My friend made that mistake and the tractor had 250 hours on it but when he saw it in person it looked like it had 2000 on it. I've seen 4000 hour tractors that were MUCH cleaner then ones with 500.

Why would you not call it a beast sure scooped up some wet dirt without a strain on the hydro's I think for the size tractor what more could one want as far as performance. Sure felt better than my mahindra which had very slow hydro's

An old fella said who cares what the hr meter reads look over the tractor and ask for service records. I'm kind of excited as I am sick in tired of being wet in the winter and hot in the summer it's,probably gonna be well worth the investment. This tractor new is 43000 I can't afford new so I feel good about taking a chance the kubota dealer stated a new tractor will take a hit very quickly before you leave the lot

I didn't mean to downgrade the L as I have an m5700 and my potato farmer friend called it a toy next to his tractors as those big JD are a real beast . I guess for us guys these tractors are a beast . I am amazed what a little BX can do for the size . I bought a B2650 and will see what kind of a beast it is this winter blowing snow in a nice warm cab .

Sounds like a good price to me, I got right at 24000 for my 2003 L5030HSTC with 1400+ hours on it two years ago and the guy was excited to find it, he bought it for his wife. He was a farmer and needed something "small" for her.
