Here's more to my point escavador

One trip to the lumber yard = 1 hour
Unloading from trailer = 15 seconds (five sheets of 3/4 and lots of 2x4's)
With my DX = priceless

With a BX = nonsense

SO ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THEM 5 INCH STUMPS IN SANDY soil couldnt be easily taken out with a bx?If there was a need for bigger then go for it,doesnt look like id shell out 6 grand or more for a larger tractor on this land.In fact if them stumps were say 10 inch ,or in rocky clay,id rent an excavader ,Or large tractor with lots of power. I dont think i said anywhere one would be an idiot for buying larger,in fact if folks hadnt been bashing the bx guys with their snippity little comments id probably would have kept quiet.Thats my point,i can get a peice of equipment larger than yours and say, lawnmower with super powers...no trees and roots..old overgrown hedges, elephannt hunt with a slingshot, motorized wheelbarrow, hole in the ground jumper could clear...vol f enjoy your puddle pond...one step from a d-9.even the garden tractor on steroids someone else said to me today.
Nice pics and nice tractor jk96 no i cant lift that many on my forks
Suprised that when i came to tbn ,i thought the wars would be over whos brand was best, not the little guy bashing.

Esc,

thanks for the comments. In no way am I trying to bash the little guy, I was the little guy with my DX24 and it was a great machine. I'm still the little guy with a lot of people who have utilities. I'm still impressed by what my little DX24 could do. Just giving my comments to show what mistakes I made when buying my first tractor, alot of which came from posts about the abilities of the BX. I bought a similar size tractor and I was just expecting a whole lot more based on the many BX posts. In hindsight, I see that my expectations were just unrealistic.

As for Volf, I haven't heard back from him about my puddle/pond comment. It was just a joke, nothing more. I think alot of people get way too serious here. Volf, if I offended you I'm sorry, I truley would like to see some pics of your finished project. When someone mentions a pond, my ideas are just a little bigger. When someone says they can easily dig a pond with a BX, I am really impressed, then I find out their idea of a pond and mine are not the same. I too have some holes in the ground in my front yard that hold water and support aquatic life (tadpoles). I call them puddles and have been meaning to put a load of dirt in them, just haven't got around to it. :D

Escavator,

I read the entire post and to the best of my comprehension knowone bashed the BX at all... in fact I complemented them several times. I've rented them and used them before and I think there a great sub compact. Read the thread again please. I went out of my way as did others NOT to bash. Were just giving our opinions based on our expierences and only trying to be helpful. Isn't that the whole point of TBN?

Also I apologize if I got snippy with you I'm still trying to shake off last nights festivities and I'm not in the best of moods :(
Sorry bout that

JK that is a jammin garage! I'm jealous:D

Where in the world is HomeBrew2? How can he be missing all this fun?:)

I can hear him now, "I have personally used my BX23 to excavate an underground city over a weekend for a community of people with photosensitivity."

I apologize HomeBrew2. I couldn't resist putting that in there. It just sounded too good. Sorry for having fun at your expense.

LOL Glowplug THAT was funny:):)

Hey Tom,

My house is actually inside my building on an upper level, we combined the two when we built. The building is a 50' x 200' building, our house is on an upper level, about 2200 square feet. I don't have any pics at the moment I can post. As for the shed your talking about, it would make sense wouldn't it.

Actually, I'm building it for a friend who lives a few miles down the road. I'll load it onto an over the wheels tilt trailer and deliver it when I'm done. I've built a couple of others and just use my forks to lift and push onto the trailer.
