My bad....I usually ask what country is south of Detroit... It is Canada, but you are right Toronto is a bit further NE. Mea Culpa.
peeping the field to grow hay grass for horses to sell and for my horse (paying board at this time) then probably potato’s also but nothing specialThinking of farming on your land ? What kind of ?
its a really nice place, during the summer at least, thank, I made a post about the bridge specifically if you want to have a look.Looks like a nice place and nice job on the bridge. Enjoy!
nice, sure thing… yes a plow and a disk, a tiller is very good to have especially for garden work … i’ve used a tiller for good part of it since it was pretty rough plus it started raining and it didn’t stops when it’s wet a tiller works better. Plowing move the organic matter around, expose and removes lots of brushes/ roots it reset your field and makes it so the disk or tiller can breaks it down if the vegetation was too dense to strictly till, it also looses more ground up them only tilling. Plowing in fall and letting it sit for the winter, is easier, it falls appart easier on the first dry time of the following year. A tiller makes a way smoother job but then the ground gets too soft to plant on it right away, a few good rain storms is needed before you can plant on it.hello from Southern Ontario (et franco).
just a question on your field work, as I'm still learning this stuff. You use a plow and a disc? Anything else? I've got a 5 acre field I need to smooth out. it last had a grain crop on it a couple years ago, but it's in pretty rough shape. I did one pass with the disc and it makes it better, but just wondering if I need another attachment to get it as smooth as possible. I want to plant garlic.
zillow doesn't work in Canada because real estate information is proprietary and top secret for MLS and broker's eyes only. Now I understand. " question to how 75 acres is worth in northern ontario"
Zillow should give a good estimate by seeing what similar property in your area sells for.
