I like to use general purpose EP grease because the FEL certainly gives grease a workout. I think even lithium grease is acceptable in my Owner's Manual, but that's one I'll have to check to make sure.

I use the New Holland grease. It's high-pressure, meets the requirements, is about as cheap as anything else, and it is blue ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Lithium grease is the one I use & have been told is superior to your standard grease you can buy. Not only that, it is recommended by New Holland. (Stated in my Manual) You can get lithium grease pretty much anywhere so shop around for best prices. Normally white in colour. It's more expensive but provides superior lubrication.

What you normally want in a grease is a lubricant that will not absorb water & has a high temperature rating so it will not break down under stress. Attached is some info I found on the net.

I used to use New Holland grease. When I did, I only had two kinds of t-shirts. Those with blue circles on them and those that would soon have blue circles on them. AAARGH! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanks for all the great replies. Looks like I will be heading to the local supply store tonight. Oh darn! I also noticed that some of the zerks are broken off...will I have to go to the NH place to find these? Anyway, thanks again, this looks like a great resource.
