It's great Chuck got what he needed er wanted... whatever... I am sure gonna miss him...lol

This is my 458th post. I could hold out a little longer to see if I can win for the most posts without a tractor. If I was really ambitious, and patient, I could try to surpass Mr. Bird at over 18,000 posts. If I could do that and still remain tractorless then I would be the all-time #1 poster even without a tractor. But I may have to post each word as a separate new reply.:D
You will have to catch up to golfgar4 at 4,376 post and never owned a tractor. :D

Sounds like another winner! Looking forward to the pics!

Hey Chuck - you there ? Did they deliver it ? Did you post about tire types last night with your new rig in the yard ? I was kinda expecting you to be through the roof. Maybe we should look in Kubota Owning ?
Take care, Dick B

Yoo-Hoo! Chuck! Your delivery report is overdue! And Pix....man, we do need those Pix! If you finish all your tractor work this week, the cat will be outta the bag and your wife will KNOW you bought a bit too big.

Maybe his wife kicked him out and he's living in the garage with the tractor. Would explain why he can't get to a computer.

We advised him to install wide area wireless so he could post directly from his tractor so he should be able to post from the garage. I think he's still out mowing the back 14.

*Paging Dr. Glowplug. You're needed on the TBN boards to post pics of your new toy. Stat.* :D

Anyway, congrats on the new arrival. If you haven't been able to pic up by now, we are awaiting pics.:D

Btw, I think I win in this thread for having most posts without a tractor.

Don't worry, he's still sittin' in the seat, in the garage, bouncing up and down going 'vrooom vroom' with a big old smile on his face waiting for the sun to come up.

Maybe now that he has actually bought the tractor, Chuck had to go back to work to pay for it. He's been missing now for 36hrs which could be a record for Glowplug. We'll give him another 12 hrs to report in before sending out the rescue party.

I bet I know what happened. He found out the tractor is too SMALL and had to return it and order a larger one! Probably too embarrassed to post....

I certainly don't want to make light of this matter but is there any chance that when Chuck saw the big, sparkling, new Kubota in his driveway that it was to much for his system to take and he is now in the Shady Hills Rest Home?

Well, he is a solo practice surgeon. I can assure you he's seen more than one 36 hour work day.

Maybe he locked himself in the cab and he's pounding on the glass right this very minute?

Hey, I see some people have been missing me! I'm so glad that everyone is so concerned about me. I have been really pretty busy at work. And when I do get home I go out and enjoy my tractor. I haven't had a chance to do too much, other than ride around in the pasture after dark and dig up big chunks of random pieces of pasture turf then lay them back down and back drag. But let me tell you, that is one seriously sweet ride. I need to take a vacation just to have a full week just to play with it and get it out of my system.:D

I know some of you are anxiously awaiting pictures. Well, it's been dark when I have gotten home. Here is a picture. It may not do the tractor justice though. If you want to follow the continuing saga of my tractor purchase please refer to my new thread "New era begins: M7040HD arrives!!". I will get some better pictures there. See ya on the next thread!

Chuck,

The M7040 would be good for 16 acrea. I have an M6800 and am very pleased. Things you are doing right include:

Kubota brand loader - engineered for your machine, not a compromise for many machines. I would not own a loader without a skid steer hitch. Mine is wonderful.

The CATI/II is very useful. Get a Speeco hitch at tractor supply of a JD I-Match at JD. It will take a little time to get your implements adjusted for it, but the QH is sweet.

Also, get a hydraulic top link. This hould he higher priority than the speeco.

Have fun. My M6800 is great. Plenty of power, heavy enough to have real traction, big enough to drive down the road, and high FEL lift capacity.
