Well there is the easy way and the hard way...

Easy way... Remove wheels from tractor. Remove inner wheel from rim. Now take the left side tire/rim and put it on right side inner wheel and other way around for the other side, Install wheels back on tractor.

You have to do as I said above because of the tire tread heading forward.

Hard way... Everything I said above PLUS remove tires from rims. The "hard way" is the way to go for ALL options on how wide or thin you would like to go.

Can you take a close up picture of your wheels now so we can see better. Where is the valve stem? If right now it is pointing to the "inside" of the tractor, doing it the "Easy Way" above will get you to the thinnest track.

I'll go take a good pic of my wheel right now and post it in my pictures here on the forum. I'll post again when the pic is up. My wheels are at the thinnest track.

Ok here are 2 photos that will show the thinnest track you can get and how the wheels should be set up.

EDIT... Um wait a minute. I was looking at your pics again. Is it me or did they put the left wheel on at the thinnest track (looking at tractor on trailer) and the right wheel on the widest track??? I am sure the pictures are playing with me because of being far a away when taken. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

There isn't any reason to worry about this track thing... I was just wondering, heck maybe I should make mine wider.

I just took a look and they appear to be even. As long as I can get through the paddock gates I'm good.

Have you thought about putting a top on? If so, which one?

 / MF1540 or MF431 #46
Yes I did at one point... I was thinking of the Massey "made" Grey top or this one, http://wellsag.com in Massey Red. I still could get one at some point, this will be the first full summer using the tractor down here in Florida. I guess I would still point to the wellsag top before the Massey, it seems that top could take some "tree damage" better then the Massey.

You are right about how the Wellsag canopy takes tree damage. They are one very tough canopy. I have had one for six years and have been very happy with it. It does have a few dents. BTW I have the aluminum diamond plate.

Any idea what they would cost today? I didn't see prices or dealers on their site.

I paid about $300, but that was a long time ago. I have no idea what they cost now.
