Any experience out there on after market "skid steer" type hay spears such as the ones on e-bay? At least two sellers are within 2hrs of me in NC and they're about half the dealer price. In addition I could save some shipping cost. After a $19K + tractor I could use some saving...

I just picked up my "skid steer" type bale spear. This weekend I'll find out if this thing can do the job. Stay tuned...

I'll post some pictures; hopefully ones of it still on all four wheels.

I said this in the other post you made, you will be fine lifting your bales. I guess it is about size, round bales here are around 900lbs.

Looks like the test is delayed. I tried to mount the spear tonight and it doesn't fit. Pins don't line up with the slots in the spear.

Anyone actually have a "skid steer" type hay bale spear for their MF loader? If so, what make?
