Yes a good paper on the FBW. A full direct mechanical link... no. Triple redundant system with minimum separation requirements and hydraulic actuators yes. Hydraulics drive the system. As I understand it, on the 787 the hydraulics have been replaced with batteries so it becomes more of a complete electrical system. Now let's get back to finding that airplane.About that.....
