It's been so wet here in Western PA the past few weeks that I wasn't sure when I was going to get back in the seat. After 3 hrs of cutting wood I decided to give it a try and start the hardscape project at the top of the driveway.

I had a pile of big rocks I wanted to move and place. They were too big to lift with the FEL so I ended up dragging them.

Dragging. I left some marks in the driveway but nothing the rain won't wash away.

The heaviest rock I moved. It must have weighed about 1200lbs.

Once I got them close I hand dug a shelf and used the FEL to push them into place.

That looks nice. You just used two very bad words when used together Hand and Dug.

We are not quite finished with the project yet but got it to a point where we can see the finish line /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We built a set of steps to go from the driveway to the mail box.

I could not have done this without the tractor! In all I moved about five tons of dirt and two tons of rocks to make it happen.

Doing landcsape work huh? Any project is just an excuse for another tool. This project looks like it needs a backhoe! Don't let too many of those opportunities pass by. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
