Here some photos from tuesday.

Putting up some sheathing and the second floor walls.

Seems to be going pretty fast and I'm happy with the way it's looking.

.

That is real nice. If you don't mind me asking, what is the overall projected cost?

Looks great......

When you "cut in" the stairwell do you use some of the extra LVL's to box it in..??

good eye, we did use some lvl's to box it in.

Cool building. Much nicer than mine - that's for sure. I can appreciate the driveway work - I brought in 22 loads (18 yards / 24 tons) of crushed stone / gravel (nitpack) and 13 loads of loam this summer. Gave my L4200 quite the beating. Hope you didn't get a building permit - stick it to the man! I like the earlier driveway rock pics too - looks like every time I try to dig a hole.

Thanks, but I had to pull a permit, I have a town councilman within earshot of my property. Yea, lots of rocks, good ole NH.

That is real nice. If you don't mind me asking, what is the overall projected cost?

The driveway cost 10k to cut in and for fill last yr. And then counting all the dirt work this yr(4500), concrete(6k), labor(10k) and material, we're at 45k.
Higher than I wanted to be, but it's not cheap to excavate anything around here and I'm going with Certainteed vinyl shingles and metal roof for low maintenance.

You went too small, but it still looks great. I did a 28x 32 last year and it's already too small. If I didn't know better I would say you are building next door to me, gotta love New England rocky land.

Beautiful design, but can I ask why you didn't put any windows in the workshop/garage?

Yea, I know Al, it could always be bigger. If I had a flat parcel and YOUR money? I would have!! :D

In later photos you'll see that I did add high non-fuctional windows facing the southeast(lake), but security was a concern.

At least you get the fun of filling it for the first time.

Just a side note that this garage will not house any cars. We have a two car garage at the house. This is just for the toys and winter storage of boat, etc. and of course my SCUT!! :D

Glad to hear you added some windows. Either way, that is one beautiful job you're doing. Enjoy it.
