You are one busy man Pixguy....

The toy shack/playroom is looking really good......is your crew still around or did you kill them with work............

Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the summer when all this construction subsides.....Maybe get out on the lake.......Nice work.....

Bill,

I am finally catching up on your project - this really is a nice looking garage/guest house!

You are definitely doing it right and the pitch and layout against the bank looks good.

As I was going through the posts I was saying " I hope he has it under roof now" as the last week has been drenching - as you well know.

When I was reading where Wdchyd commented on the steps and floor joists reminded me of my barn and steps. We thought were short 1 joist, then we cut the one in half for the step area and it worked out perfectly..

It finally looks like you might be able to get back to work next week - I am sure its going to turn out great..

....the roofing guys showed upas promised!

The roof went on by 5 guys in about 6 hours. They are able to bend the inside corners and valleys in one peice to eliminate the chance of leaks.
Great crew! :D

the corbels I made to go under side door. Need to put finish coat of green on.

Are you using real shingles for the siding or one of the products that look like shingles, but are made of cement or plastic? I love the look of cedar shingles, but I'm not a big fan of maintaining them, or replacing them.

Low maintenance is KEY!!

Thanks guys, The siding is Certainteed Cedar Impressions, vinyl that is that is shaded to look like real shingles. At $300 sq., it better be! Also went with Azek rake and facia boards.

just came in for lunch cuz of a T-storm, and they are continuing the siding.

More photos as I take them. ;)

Certainteed is good stuff!!!!!! I like that a lot more then using the real shingles. No cracking, no drying out, no maintenance. VERY NICE!!!!

Just found your thread. Outstanding job! Nice to see someone using real plywood for sheathing. I hate that chipboard crud that's going up everywhere.
