Wow nice trailer. I would interested in finding out what fluid the recommended in the Manuel. Apparently there are different thicknesses I have been wondering if that's why my FEL is slow. Cheap tractor supply fluid.
Sorry not to get off topic. Would you mind telling how much you paid and where in New York is this manufacturer located.. I need both a dump trailer and equipment trailer would be interested to ask them if they could build a 22 foot goose neck dump that I could put My TLB in
Just got done reading through the owners manual and there is no mention of the power hydraulic unit. I think they forgot to put that booklet into my envelope of warranty info for the trailer, tires, certif. of origin, registration paperwork, receipt, etc. I have Emailed the company to see if they forgot. If so, they will send it to me.
If anyone is interested asking questions the following is their info:

Back to the fluid question. I also have a 20' tilt bed trailer with a power hydraulic unit that I installed in 2006 when I converted (removed the manual hand jack) and added the elect. Hydraulic unit and new cylinder. I have used automatic transmission fluid in that since day one without problem. I also have a twin post lift in my garage that uses trans fluid as well. The fluid in the new trailer is not thick. It has the consistency of trans fluid (about 10W) but it's not red it's almost clear, maybe bluish tint like Meyers plow fluid. I would think any hydraulic fluid like used in snow plow pumps or trans. fluid would work. I'll let everyone know when I get an answer back.
Farmstart I'll send you a PM
