Hoye shows the same radiator for the 1100, 1300, 135, 155, 165. Part number 124060-44500

Thank you. Gonna do some searching and see if I can find one that doesn’t hurt the wallet so bad.

Those old brass radiators are just about infinitely repairable. Find someone with experience soldering them up and it won't be a problem.

I considered taking it to a repair shop. Long story short, I just went ahead and ordered a brand new one for $230 shipped.

I removed the old radiator today (which really wasn’t too bad of a job, other than stuck radiator hoses). The leak appeared to be in a really awkward place. Somewhere where the radiator was covered by the steel radiator frame. And we tried to remove the steel frame, but we started to do more damage than was ideal. It appeared to be the original radiator anyways, so $230 will likely be money well spent in the long run. Just wasn’t planning on that, but that’s how things usually go.

Yea at 40 years its about time to replace. I'm for repairing stuff when you can. But when you think of the scale that one has in it and if your paying someone $75 or 100 to fix something that could leak again in a not her spot in a few years you might be throwing good money out after bad. It's a gamble. If you solder your self and know what your doing, can pull tanks and reseal them , sure you can basically fix one forever

From experience I ordered a new radiator for my old 2002D, turns out old radiator had 3 rows, new radiator had 2 rows. Long story short I ended up putting the old radiator back on believing it cooled better than the new one. Finally sold the new one for less than half of what I gave for it.

Does anyone happen to have a PDF manual for a YM165? I would like to have one, but figured I’d check with you all first before I make a purchase.

Didn't someone just recently post a link to some manuals? I don't remember the post title but if you go through the first few pages I bet you find the one I'm talking about if one of these other guys doesn't remember it. Also not saying there is a 165 manual in there either.

I did just see a post with a link to some Russian forum that had free PDF manuals. Not sure if that's what you're talking about, but I looked through about 12 pages on there and didn't find one for a YM165.

Can anyone confirm if this fitting is where I will install the probe end of a mechanical temperature gauge? I tried to follow the temperature warning light wire back from the dash but the warning light was unplugged so I can’t.
