oosik,
Good Luck deciphering all the new features on your new Truck. Should be an exciting learning experience. Heck, I just got a smart phone and about all that I've mastered is turning it off and on.
Oh, and I sent a text to my wife who was across the room on the couch.

It is amazing that your new Truck, as heavy as it is, gets better mileage than my Ranger or Jeep. I am envious but have the tractor to pay for before I can dream of a new Truck.

Not just the front end, people I know that have Rams love their trucks, including the 23 mpg they are getting with them.
I bet they are looking at the puter average...

I saw a test where they BOUGHT 3 new pu's, Ram, Chev, Ford, all half tons... The puter average showed them to have nearly the same millage, UNTIL they checked the REAL mpg with paper/pen. All on the same trip, over the same roads ect...

The chev was best and very close to the puter average, the Ford came in second and also was close to the puter reading but one mpg worse than the chev.

The Ram, it was waaaaaaay worse, regardless what the puter said, in fact they tested them twice because the Ram was so far off, and it was a very distant third, the puter was waaay off. My brothers new Ram confirms this, the puter reads better than my new Chev, but it uses more gas!

BTW, Even though the Hemi is a bigger motor than my 5.3, it's not any faster and won't pull a loaded trailer any better, at least that's the case between my new Chev and my brothers new Hemi.

Before anyone attacks me about the above, right now I own all three brands of pu's, so don't label me Chevy blind!

The neighbors 2016 Super Ram 2500 averaged 20mpg from Idaho back to Alaska last month. The roads were bad with snow and ice and some of that was in 4wd. The Ranger averages 20 mph in 2wd on a good day. The Jeep averages 17mpg year around. The big Dodges are more than twice the weight so, the 20 mpg looks impressive to me.

Doofy - if you believe what they say - it will be better than either my Jeep or F-150. We shall see..... Regarding technology - I have an old Samsung flip phone. One step up from analog. On a good day, out on the porch, held up high - two bars. I talk "UP" to my phone on a call.

Well - as long as I can figure this, I'll be OK. Not set off the Sentry Key Theft Deterrent System while trying to gain access with the Keyless Remote Entry System and then using the Keyless Go System. I have this vision - the dual tone horns are blaring - I'm standing at the drivers door and can't get in or stop the blaring horns. And the Keyless Remote Start System - well............

You know - I can only figure out and set all the onboard systems if I can get inside. I'll likely hurt my foot - kicking a tire. I have it - in the beginning I will leave the sun roof or rear window open - for emergency entry only. God, I hope it's still this funny when I actually have the vehicle.

Another thought - I just wonder how may remote control units there will be. I'll need a fanny pack or wear my five pocket jeans. Today, it takes four remotes just to watch TV.

I have faith. You can do it.

All I can say is it will be a lot simpler than you think. Most of the keyless are very easy, just grip the door handle and it unlock.

Well - I'm sure I exaggerate. The pickup will be the same as the motorcycle. With time and persistence I've figured it out. Thank goodness for the Op Manual on the cycle. It has a myriad of changes possible thru the onboard computer. I could never remember all the gyrations required for all the setting/changes on the cycle. I could spend half a day with the cycle, just making changes and never ride a mile. Even in my wildest dreams, I never thought that so much could be altered thru a computer.

I might even understand the vehicle by the time I get it.

Don’t count on it. I have never understood completely all of the goodies on my various trucks and SUVs even up until it was time to move on to the next vehicle. Just didn’t have the patience to figure it all out. Especially the stereo systems!

The one thing I finally figured on the cycle. All the changes are not meant for everybody. They are meant to customize the bike to each persons own liking. What a relief. It was slowly driving me bonkers. The sound system on a vehicle has never bothered me. I seldom listen to it anyhow. A good CD of Alabama or the Statler Brothers is all I need. If I want something to listen to. I'm simple, I'm easy. Modern technology is a square hole this round body is trying to squeeze into.
