New sub compacts

Has anyone seen or heard any more about the new subcompacts that are suppose to be coming out?
I am planning to be at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, Ga. on Oct.18th will send some pictures if they have them there.

I've seen the new 2415 thats coming out. I was in Calhoun this past week picking up tractors and they had one there. They said it was the first one they have had and it was there to get the loader installed and then was on its way to a show. First of all, the tractor is not a sub-compact. Its about the same size as the current 2015. It had industrial tires and they were the same size as what comes on the 2015 also. The tractor looks (hood, grill, controls, guages) a lot like the 3215 but the head lights are a little different. Also, the joystick is mounted on the loader, more like the 2015, instead of on the fender like the 3215. It had the 2 speed hydrostatic transmission with the new style pedals (like 3215). I was told that the tractor may be ready for release by the end of the year but probably not till the first few months of 2007. It's not been said yet what the price is going to be. They didn't know much about the new 1815 either. Mahindra builds quality tractors and the new 2415 is no exception. As Mahindra grows, they are doing a good job of rounding out their model line-up. It will be exciting to see what they come out with next.

By the way, I snapped some pictures of the 2415 while I was there. I didn't have my digital camera so I had to use a disposable. I'll get them developed asap.

Is the 2415 a compact or a sub-compact?

If it is a larger engine on a 2015 then it is probably a pretty sweet tractor, but it would be a compact. I think the 2015 is a nice little package but would prefer a little more horsepower in that package. If its essentially a 2015 with a 24hp engine, then it could be nice!!!

Someone on TBN was saying the 2015 dynoed at 23 or 24 Hp, more like when it was a Case IH or Cub Cadet.

The 2415 is a compact, not a sub compact. The tractor is basically the same size as the 2015. I agree that the extra horsepower on the 2015 frame should make an awesome machine. I also saw the post about the 2015 dynoing more horsepower. I believe it was Daves Tractor that mentioned it and 2015 was not the only model that was under rated. Im curious to find out more about the 2415 like the actual horsepower on the dyno and also the weight of the tractor.

On the 2015, it has the Mitsu S3L engine. It's rated 23 HP everywhere else you find it, even in the new compact TYM tractor that uses that engine. Same engine, but rated higher in the TYM. Apparently when Mahindra first contracted with Mitsu on these 15 series, they wanted a 20 HP model. So this engine was certified at 20 HP. Appears to only be 20 on paper as they show 3-4 HP over that rating on our dyno. I guess it isn't just an easy thing to rerate the engine for this application, because I sure have been on them to do so.

The 1815 is a nice looking tractor. It is lighter and uses smaller tires and will have a smaller backhoe than the 7'10" one that is used on the 2015.

So then we will have 18, 20, 24, 26, 28 and 32 HP 15 series models. Is this too many options?

Gee.. wonder where that loader was coming from ... I tell u.. they got the loader but it was a chore... I loaded it in the truck myself actually..almost got dirty out there!

When I was following the other thread about the new subcut which is the 1815 there was also talk about a new cut that was Chinese made. Is this the new 2415 ? Or is the the 1815, 2415 and a new Chinese manufactured one that is not yet released ?

Who manufactures the engine for the 2415?

The 15 series, designated by the last two digits of the model number, are all built in Japan by Mitsubishi, even the new 1815/2415 models that will be out in the near future.

The Chinese built machine has not been released for sale in the USA. It is still being tested and refined.

Do you know if the S3L was used in the Cub Cadet 7205?

I don't know, sorry. The S3L-2 is in the new 2415 and rated at 24HP. I do not know what the difference is, but it does make me curious.

Hi,

Not showing on website yet so no MRSP being shown.

Bet never see them in Canada.
Matter of fact drove down to the one dealer that sell Mahindra in Canada and all he had was a single 2015 with mower on the lot and a few grey market tractors.

Place was busy so left but called back later. Ended up leaving a voice mail and no response so call again a few days later. Again, no response.

Interested to see how they compare with the Kioti.

Hi All,

Thanks Galen for your kind offer and I will be contacting you and probably dropping down in the next few weeks as you really are not too far away.

I do have to give Mahindra USA a big hats off though.
Either an odd coincidence or a phone call was made but suddenly today I received a call from the Canadian Mahindra dealer. Missed is call as tied up in a meeting but he did leave a voice mail so will call him tomorrow.
