I should have two boxes coming from Messicks in the next week so i can put the dash back together. then of course I am going to pull that heavy seat (oh my back) and deck plates to troubleshoot interlock problem

What problem are you having under the platform? Is it the FWA lever not engaging? CNH had a issue with the linkages (FWA and shifters)siezing up and if I recall the dealers were to repair this problem under warranty. My dealer came over and fixed mine in the field. Is this the problem you are experiencing?

Hey Robert. Not mechanical. I pulled the deck off a couple weeks ago when i had the fuel tank off for repairs. Cleaned all the brush and trash that builds up from bushogging. I checked all connections on wiring before I put it back on but something came loose and it prevents power to the starter. If I turn the key on and jump the starter solenoid I can start it and run. I'll find out what came loose or got pinched or whatever.

It sounds like one of your safety switches isn't hooked up properly. If I recall there are two on what would be the left hand side of the tractor if you have the mechanical shuttle. There is one on the shuttle and the parking brake. If either one of these is not hooked up properly or working properly the tractor will not start at the key and will have to be jumped like you did. You should be able to check these easily by pulling the left tire, or you can take a long stick and see if the connections are loose from the back of the tractor. If you do have to replace/repair one of these switches, the easy way to get to them is by pulling the tire. Can be pulled and repaired in about an hour if you are working by yourself.

I'd love to pull the tire but it is loaded and if it got away I would never get it back on. you know what? what the ****. I'm gonna pull the tire it can't be much worse that removing that heavy ***** seat! OMG that thing is heavy.
there are 3 interlocks on the left. PTO, brake and shuttle. I checked them all but must have disturbed them when. or coule be an actual wiring problem. I noticed after I started it PTO light didnt come on. Theoretically if interlock was pto the light would have been on. oh well. If I drop tire you can come down and help me get it back on. lol

My tire was loaded also and I was working on a gravel floor but you will find it is actually a lot easier then you think. If possible, park the TN near a wall or support so that when you pull the tire you can roll it just far enough out of your way and let it lean against a wall post or support post. Anytime we work on these machines we have to be careful and use our heads so as long as you don't get carried away trying to dribble the tire around you will be fine :)

Where abouts are you anyway? If you are near WNY I would be glad to come give you a hand.

We've been all through the tire/wheel removal deal already. If he had gone at the fuel tank that way to begin with, he wouldn't have messed up the NSS circuit. Didn't read any complaints of a no-crank before the tank deal. I used to do about anything to avoid screwing with those deck panels.........
