The last several days I have been getting things ready to quickly put up a temporary fence around the house and carport

Yesterday when we were in the truck on the way home his comments made me think he's starting to get it. Poor kid. : > )
it's unfortunate - but some never do. From my experience I have come to the conclusion that everybody has an age they mature to then stop forever. Some never get past their teens .... I believe I stopped at about 33 .... now if my brain would just stop writing those checks that my old body can't cashslaveToHorses said:Boy howdy do I know that one. My son's couldn't really give a hoot about what I do to maintain the place. At 14 and 21 they don't seem to have much interest in it at all. I just got the youngest to mow a field with the lawn tractor and he liked that, while he was doing it. But only once it seems. I can force them but then they don't bother to learn anything from it... I keep telling them that this is all very usefull knowlege and skills. I wonder when my kids will "get it"?
