One concern I have is the brush guard, if that's what you can call it, on the
B3200. It will will not do much to stop brush and branches. has anyone fitted the brush guard with expanded metal or any such material to really let it act as a brush guard? How did you attach it? Does it affect air flow for cooling?
Any information will be appreciated.

I have an RBG-60 on my
L5030 and I love it. I had a lot of brush and logs I needed to move when I purchased it, so as soon as I received it, I installed it and the Long valve kit. I debated whether to put expanded metal in place before I used it or "move some brush first." A year later I still intend to add some expanded metal, but just have not done so yet. I had planned to bolt it on with u-bolts as a temporary measure until I could make up a frame with hooks on top and brackets to bolt in at the bottom.
I do not see a a problem with cooling, and yes, I still need to add the extra protection. I have really not had any problems yet with anything getting beyond the existing brush guard, but I am likely pushing my luck, so this is still on my project list.
To further protect the hoses, I covered them with split flex conduit that I got at Tractor Supply. I also use a small bungey cord to keep the hose slack out of the grapple. One of my neighbors has a grapple that I looked at before I bought mine. He had not added the above to his but as we looked at his equipment, we both agreed this would be helpful. I picked up the items and put them on as part of the installation.
You may already be aware, but as a heads up, when you get ready to remove the grapple from the tractor, shut the engine down, turn the key back to power the valve, then take the pressure off the lines by pressing the open/close button several times in each direction before you disconnect the couplings. Even then, if you remove it in the sun, you will probably have to relieve the pressure in the grapple lines again to get the couplings to connect. I cover the male coupling with a rag and push the end against the grapple frame. I will let the safety police tell you about high pressure hydraulic fluid.
I hope you find your grapple as useful as I have mine.
