Any more photos of the tractor and work platform? what do you dislike about the tractor?

Im going to the dealer around mid week to look at a 3940. Im not sure if I will like the HST+ or not.... seems like a lot of switches and buttons! :confused2: I'm used to the standard HST trans like on my B2400 and BX24 but could always learn! Main function with the 3940 would be running my 7' flail mower, Box scraper and maybe splurge on a set of pallet forks and rock bucket to pick rocks out of the fields....

For what you describe, I would want the HST+. The switches and button's are a nice feature, auto-throtle being the one I use most when the pto is not engaged. What do I dislike, want light when 4x4 is engaged, diff lock spring a little too stiff, split left/right brakes should be easier to use. What pics are you looking for in detail? Philip.

My L5030 HSTC has the standard HST and works very well; won't be trading any time soon, but I really like the auto throttle feature and shift on the go options on the HST+. I am fixing washouts and have been hauling dirt and rock in a one mile loop through turns from gentle to ninety degrees, hills etc. and the HST sure would be nice about now.

This tractor is very nice. They seem to have thought of about everything. OK, I guess a bigger tool storage area would be good.

The good thing is, you can use a Grand L tractor just fine without using any of the bells & whistles, & as you gain experience you'll become more familiar with the options are & how they help you. It doesn't take long, though.

The HST+ adds 2 functions (press of a button): 1) Auto throttle, called Stall Guard Plus, which keeps your RPM up when loads increase. 2) Auto shift, called Auto H-DS, which senses the load & downshifts from Rabbit to Turtle, & back, as needed.

Or, if for some crazy reason you hate HST+, or just don't want to use it sometimes, you can turn it off altogether (called Manual Mode) & operate it as your standard, basic HST with no special features.

Thank you for the photos!!! I'm leaning to the MX5100, the HST+ and grand L options would be nice but the dealer says the 3940 wont run the flail mower in thick grass
