For what? I paid $750 for 10ply snows last year around this time. 4 of them (no dually here!).

Nokian LT's with studs and just 4 of them also, some people don't like studded tires I do and I actually need them on a couple of steep grades and then in my steep driveway. I used to use the Cooper studded snows but have switched over to the Nokians the last several years.

Woa.
I thought studs were illegal nearly everywhere (except mail carriers).
That's some coin. Good luck.

Technically, studded tires ARE legal in Michigan.... it's just that no manufacturers have submitted the proper documentation that their tires meet or exceed Michigan's pavement wear specs.

MDOT - Can I use studded tires in Michigan?

I'd think they'd be noisy as **** and slippery on dry roads, but I've never used them. One of my dad's wood trailers had an old studded tires on it though...

At $225 ea, I like my "winterforce" tires just fine.

Studded tires illegal - you have to be kidding or you just sniffed too much glue. This is the time of year when a drive into the big city - Spokane - will sound like a city full of hissing snakes.

I decided to go with studless winters for the first time, Blizzak DM-V2s. Cost just a bit over a grand with tax, plus another $75 to mount and balance them. The only time studs have an advantage is on ice, and we don't get too much of that. Supposedly the "studless" tires work almost as well as studs on ice, and better everywhere else. They have great reviews, guess we'll see.

Put the snows on one car over the weekend.
Taking the wheels for the other car to the tire shop tomorrow (waiting on tpms sensor to come since one went bad). They're holding tires for me so they don't sell out.
Truck's snows aren't as much of a rush..... Maybe next week if it's still white out.

I have a small fortune in wheels, snow tires, and tire pressure sensors (and associated tools to make them work).

Just finished rebuilding this for my Dad we found it on Cl last spring. Antonio Carraro trx 8400, Reversible console, 70hp, 84" blower. He has a mile long private road into his farm. We avg 130" of snow a year 2017 we had a 2' storm should be interesting to see how well it handles it. He can't wait to try it out.

Neat rig. Please post pics or a video of that beast in action when you get a good pile of snow. I would think chains are a must with those tires.

I (think) I saw that one on c/l and it sure did give me an itch to call. Was that the one a tree service had? It was in Naples iirc.
I'd second the video request if you get a chance.

I dont see a loader there, but fundamentally a reversible machine makes so much more sense than CUT setups. The loader is in the wrong end for ballast & strength. It's only up front for visibility. Running in "reverse" makes so much more sense for putting a PTO powered impliment like a blower or mower up front.

Correct that was the one in Naples, my dad lives in Harrison on the crooked river.
Will definitely post a video of it in action. I also have one of his not cabbed version with the blower I just need to find it ;)

Deerherd...first, I like your avatar. Second, if you live in or about Watertown, that may not be big enough!

My current snow weapon is a Kubota B3030 with front blower. Previous snow weapon was a Ford 860 with rear blower. 20180421_211058.jpg20180714_205724.jpg
Also have a Ford 641 and factory V plow. Have never used the V plow, but did mount it for grins.20181020_213335.jpg
