Some of my straight informational postings have been jumped because they assume I'm some kind of safety policeman...so I have switched to sarcasm...![]()
I owned a exterior restoration company for several years & I am a licensed rigger. I too have gotten a lot of crap about being the safety police. I had rigged a complex staging wall 1 day on the side of a mansion. It consisted of 5 upright supports & 3 levels of catwalks. I came back to the job to find 11 men and tools from different trades all over it. I freaked out because it was overloaded by more than double the capacity. Not 1 person could understand why I was so upset. Because of the span there was plenty of room for them to work but there were only 5 upright supports. My license and My rigging my responsibility when it collapsed because of overloading.
