Well, that is obvious...what didn't the Original Cab do for you to want to switch?

Taxman, did the original cab not perform to your expectations or was it just time to step up?

heres my post from mtf a couple days ago:

"well i just finished snowblowing for about 2 hours and i am going to give a bad review of the original tractor cab, i know many are satisfied with the unit but i am not. let me preface my little rant with the fact that the tractor (2305) and blower (47 in) worked great they threw that snow whenever and wherever i wanted it to so i have no beefs with my setup, now the cab this thing leaks like a sieve i have the safety windshield and electric wiper options whenever the wind blows the snow back at the cab it comes thru every little opening and covers the operator (ME) i didnt buy a cab to still have the snowman effect now i could almost live with this but here is what has me so sour, the constant fogging and freezing up of all the windows in the cab . i know many have said that they have no problems with this but i have a huge problem i spend more time wiping windows and windshield so i can have visibility than i want to or need to , i dont know whether i am throwing to much heat off my body or what but i cant stand it, i have tried everything available ( to me anyhow ) 12v fan/defroster is a joke not enough air to defog anything let alone defrost , rainex/fogex does nothing for me either and a 12v fan to circulate air helped a smidge but not near enough. there should be enough air from all the leaks to get some sort of circulation going but i have had 0 luck. so if i cant beat em i am going to join em today i contacted my dealer about a hardside curtis cab with heater and a deluxe overhead unit that has defog/defrost and a light and accessorie buttons and other things i also am getting a wiper for front and back. i know it is much much much more than an original cab but i wont be selling the tractor till she coughs blood and i only use it for snow removal and gardening and other summer tasks around the homestead i have ten acres here and i mow with a 72in zero turn that is a beast so no mowing involved. well i am feeling much better now after my little tangent rant and will continue loving my 2305, i know others may disagree and im not trying to start arguments but the original cab is prolly good for some but just not me . i mean if your not enjoying your seat time than you gotta do what you gotta do to make it fun again."

hope that answers your questions :):):)

Sure does. Although I think you just greatly lessened your chances of selling it to anyone on this forum.

I bought the Orginal Cab this year also. I was a bit surprised to see how big of a gap there was around the doors. Yes snow does blow in if the wind is blowing the right way. I learned pretty quick to work with the wind. This also keeps the snow off the windows. I sealed the right side of the cab and have very little snow or wind come in now. Today I was out for almost 2 hours in a coat and 20F sweating while snowblowing. I mounted a small heater and have no problems with fogging on the front window. If the wind catches the snow and blows it on rear window it can be tough to see. I will say the cab and rear snowblower were the best money spent this winter for snow removel.

I just ordered an Original Cab for my 2210 (before I joined this forum). I didn't order the safety glass or the wiper. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake and should cancel my order (they won't ship for another week). I'm in SD and I frequently plow in below zero temps and winds above 10 MPH. I was hoping to eliminate the "snowman" effect and maybe keep the wind off enough so my fingers would stay warmer. I usually plow for less than an hour at a time as it just doesn't take long with this snow eating machine but I'm worried about the plastic windows fogging up and NOW I'm worried that it won't be much better than NO cab.

I'm also wondering where everyone is getting the heaters and how much they cost etc.

it will definately keep you much warmer and keep the wind off you imho the heaters available just arent worth a **** . a lot of people have no problms with fogging windows i did, maybe im just a big *** hottie who knows. i live in the wide open country and it is very windy all the time if you can work with the wind the snow doesnt blow back at all, i may have exagerated the snowman effect it just blows some in the nooks.i guess i just wanted a better cab and should of gotten a curtis from the start. i see you are plowing and not blowing so you should have no trouble at all.it is definately better than no cab at all.:)
