Good morning
I found myself in a similar situation with having a lot of work to do around our house. Renting was out of the question, so we looked at skid steerers, used tractors and finally settled on a new tractor with a loader and backhoe.
In this particular case, resale value had to be considered, but we consider resale value in all of our purchases. I may keep this equipment "forever" or I may sell it in 10 years. One never knows.
We made the best deal on the best piece of equipment that suited our needs. I find that it is just as prudent to consider the cost of cashing out of a deal, as it is to cashing in.
