I like this thread. I have an early 80's B6100 with FEL.

Going to get a Zero turn mower

Dream of lotsa land, heated garage and a larger tractor with lotsa attachments.

Now, the other part of this thread. I want to know when the tractor parade runs though VT so I can go on a road trip to see it. Everyone involved should sign the old machine. I'd send out a gas card to help.

I would have loved to see that.

My wife and my mother didn't care much for it.... We'd keep the ones that needed work at my house and the ones we were selling at mom and dads place. We tried to keep 4 or 5 "sellers" at their place all the time. The backlog would be at my place. The best part was being able to "experience" about every kind of tractor made. We tried to stick with utility models or smaller row crops, most with 3-point hitch. But there was the occasional WD 45 Allis, H & M Farm Alls, A few 2-cylinder Deeres, Even one old Silver King. My favorite oddball was a CO-OP. It had a 6 cylinder Chrysler industrial engine and would go almost 50 MPH on the road. It fell out of the UGLY TREE and hit every limb on the way down!

Soundguy

I posted a pic on the Buying/Pricing forum. I think this one was a great buy, $500 and runs great, no smoke or cracks, full oil pressure. I did make a joke on the Yanmar forum that I'm going to have to watch myself for wanting to restore it now (it is supposed to pull the manure spreader) because if I do it will be too pretty to be pulling horse poop around. And then I'd need another one, etc until I became like Soundguy, lol!

Your new H looks good Roxy, bout the same color as a Yanmar too.

Item 1: BX23 (It's not "in the barn", it sleeps on my covered back porch).

Item 2a: What's to dream of when each day is only filled with contemplations of how I can live up to the expectations of my BX.

Item 2b: Now, if we are talking about real dreaming ... I dream of rearranging a small town with a Cat D11R CD ... clackity clack, don't come back. Hey, it's just a dream!

Ok, I'll play. I have nothing near as nice as some of the equipment listed above, but it gets the job done.

Kubota L275 with FEL, also
Fransgard winch,
bush hog,
CadPlan backhoe (no, I didn't build it myself)
3PH woodsplitter
Tandem axle trailer.

No barn yet, but by snowfall I should have SOMETHING up to get it all undercover.

In the garage: JD LX178 Lawn Tractor (I know - doesn't count.)

On it's way: JD 3320 hydro with 300CX loader, MX5, BB2060, PHD200.

Tractor of my dreams? I'm waiting delivery! (Oh, the agony!)

PS - today, my wife is having me clean out the garage. I'm still not sure I didn't get suckered into it by her brilliant logic. She said "You've got to make room for the new tractor!" I guess I should fit in here, as the 06 Audi and 06 Silverado will sit outside to make room for the JD 3320 to be garaged...

Also, I'm feeling a strange yearning when I see pictures of a JD Model B... Is it the flu shot I just got, or have I started to come down with another long-term debilitating disease?

I've tried twice to reply to this thread, but keep getting logged out for some reason. I currently own a NH TC 30 with FEL, KK tiller, box blade, and durablade that I use during the summers and on school breaks to do some clean up/yard prep for contractors, put in driveways, spread dirt on existing lawns, etc. I also have a JD LX277 lawn tractor (I know, it doesn't count, but it's still a nice mower).

The tractor I would like to own is the 1952 WD Allis Chalmers, LP gas conversion and single wheel front end, that my Dad bought new. It was the workhorse on our appx. 100 acre cotton/soybean farm from 1952 to 1973 when my Dad retired and gave up the farm land. We kept it around for several more years to use in our garden and potato patch. I have a lot of great memories involving that tractor, I spent a lot of hours disking, using the tumbling harrow, cultivating the beans and cotton, bush hogging, etc. Some of my favorite memories were riding in the cotton wagon to the cotton gin behind that tractor. We would use it to haul our firewood in the winter, and when the snow was to deep to drive our old pickup, we used it to pull the wagon and take the family into town to the grocery store and church. I'd really like to have that old tractor and restore it, and maybe use it in some parades or something like that. It did a lot of hard work in its time. I wish I knew where it was, the last I knew of it, my bother-in-law (who ended up being the 3rd owner of it) traded it in on a Belarus.

24' cattle trailer
30'x80' barn to put it all in
30'x40' shop to keep everything in good working order

Boondox, wife, four golden retrievers, three mean cats, a flock of very tasty sheep and some chickens for eggs on 155 acres of hardwood forested hillside in north central Vermont.

Iron: Kubota L4630 w/ LA853 FEL, rear blade, landscape rake minus a few teeth, rear discharge finish mower badly dinged by rocks, Farmi winch. Honda Foreman 400 ATV. Big Husky chainsaw for droppin' em and a smaller Stihl for limbin' em.

I'd like to trade the ATV in on an RTV or similar gas powered ute like a Rhino, something nimble for use bringing firewood out of the forest. Would also like to get a 10k flatbed trailer for transporting equipment around.

But most of all I'd like to figure out an easy way of mounting those heavy ice chains on my Bota!

It is in my profile but;

Kabota bx23, tiller, box blade, ring roller, broadcast spreader, chain drag, gas powered tow behind 5 gal sprayer, rebuilding a rigid spike harrow, could use a fertilizer spreader and maybe a ripper of some sort. Gage wheels are my next project (like I don’t have enough of them already)
