And there's the proof. No, it's definitely more likely to be absent with educated people.

Yes, it certainly was, when it was.Ok so education is valuable then.
I love the fact that you didn't know it was a scam right off the batt, but now you're sure you know so much about why they are doing it. Lol.That’s a lot of work for building a profile of readily available info. But whatever you say.
You are lucky.Wanted to add this perspective: I've used Craigslist, and more recently Facebook marketplace, for some very good deals. FB marketplace in particular, is now chock-a-block full of scam posts. Ruining it. Search on "tractor" and dozens of ads show up, many with low, four figure price tags on newish looking tractors with FELs. Machines that obviously would cost five to ten times as much as the ad price. It's to the point where searching for real items is now an exercise is dismissing 80% of the ads meeting the search criteria.
Don't know if this is a human or bot endeavor, but it's really a shame. Local classifieds in newspapers are pretty well dead, displaced by these online versions. If the online versions are ruined, the ability to buy/sell/trade local equipment is severely hampered.
A lot of that is because sellers, especially dealers, put a whole paragraph of 'search words' at the bottom of their ads.If I search CL or FB for "tractors for sale", I get everything but tractors.
Trucks, shipping containers, toys, etc.
It will come up on the search as having say, 200 listings, but 197 of them are spam. Maybe three will be tractors.
I love the fact that you didn't seem to have read either my initial post or the title of the thread. From the time I got that email to the time I posted this thread I knew something was up and said so.I love the fact that you didn't know it was a scam right off the batt, but now you're sure you know so much about why they are doing it. You responded after hearing their crap of a story. LolI love the fact that you didn't seem to have read either my initial post or the title of the thread. From the time I got that email to the time I posted this thread I knew something was up and said so.
But sure they could be trying to hack my computer, sure they could be collecting data. And even though it would be the slowest and most inefficient way imaginable to gather data that is already available and hardly useful for nefarious purposes and worth maybe tens or hundreds of a percent of a penny to data collectors it is still possible that you're right. Of course they could be planning on hijacking a plane from Iceland to Cuba or plotting to rob Fort Knox. Plenty of things are possible but not all are probable.
Well, he's educated ya know! You responded after hearing their crap of a story. Lol
