I can't imagine having a bigger/heavier grapple on my rig. The Millonzi's weight and strength are perfect for that machine. An Anbo type around that weight would also be a good choice, I just couldn't find one in that price range.

Island; Red Rocker,

The Millonzi does indeed look just right. The price I saw for them was the same as for the one that I bought. and I don't recall any free shipping.

I think that for construction, the size of the bottom of this one may be better. It looks to me like for moving plywood, block, or you name it, that area may be an advantage. 4x8 sheets should sit right on it. Whether that'll happen ever, I don't know.

It looks to me like I could take out the inner tangs, put in a couple pieces of pipe with a piece of expanded metal over that...? Maybe a little weight savings. I'm not going to do anything untill I put it on the machine with a big weight on the back and see how it feels. That'd be next spring, I'd imagine.

Thanks for the ideas and help. Jake

ps It's listed as the 'standard duty grapple'.

It was made by Unlimited Fabrication. What is a Maxim 130?

I don't know how I got the idea it was the heavy duty version. Maybe from the other thread.

When you said this one cost the same as the Millonzi, were you referring to the bigger 60 inch Millonzi or the 48LD. I'd be surprised if it was the latter.

Good luck with your project.

The grapple you have, and the standard duty Millonzi are nice grapples if you have a big tractor or skid steer. Most people think they need a grapple as big as their bucket and get models with dual cylinders. I bought the light duty Millonzi when I had a Deere 2520 so I could have some lift capacity left. I now use it with my 3320 that has alot more capacity and it is still all I need. You don't really need the dual cylinder models to grab a load of brush. I can pick up and carry loads way to big to see around to haul to a burn pile. Plus with the small 48" size I can see better the small things I'm trying to grab. JC

Update for anyone interested... It would appear from measuring the grapple attachment plates on the Unlimited Fabrication Root Grapple, that one grapple can be removed and the other can be installed in the center to reduce some weight.
