Here's what one 7 yard load looks like on the ground. They could have brought in more per truck, but kept it to only 7 yards per load to prevent possible damage to the 600' driveway.

When the second truck pulled away they started the screed process using a long piece of aluminum box channel.

They worked very well as a team and moved along a lot faster than I expected. They were careful to check for the rebar height reference mentioned earlier. Total pitch from back to front of slab is 1-1/2".

By the time one truck was hosed down clean and the next truck backed in, they were ready.

Working around the thickened footer edge they constantly banged the forms with hammers, etc., to settle the concrete and get a nice smooth side on the slab with minimal air voids.

Adam was the 'edge guy'. He went around and really worked the edges, putting a nice smooth ease on them.

Decided to modify our slab design at the side overhead door. Originally, I was going to just hold the apron height to the top of the lowered 5/4" PT board break. The head mason suggested 'cutting in' to the slab as pictured for even better water control. I like it.

Here's the front apron framing before the wire and rebar. It ended up being a bit bigger than originally estimated and a whole lot thicker.

In fact, it ended up being just about 1 yard larger than originally estimated. I know this because, after dumping 21 yards, they were 1 yard short! #%@!*&%!

While waiting for the fourth truck, they started working the power float.
