Rmulkey, I'm happy to know I'm not the only one. I remember dividing a one story space inside a two story warehouse into separate offices a few years back (adding divider walls, hallway, etc.).

I didn't realize how much I tended to 'overbuild' until a 300 lb. friend of mine shows up when I have the framing done and starts doing chin-ups on my door headers! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

My non-bearing, non-support walls had double 2x4 headers around 1/2" plywood glued and screwed together resting on top of jack studs nailed to king studs! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

As he's hanging there he looks at me and says, "Well, do you think you built this strong enough?" Needless to say, it was a bit embarrassing. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Exactly! And the cupola is functional to let the steam out when the mash is boiling. Actually the cost of the shed is minor in relation to the stuff it contains. And to think I started making beer to save money.
